Honestly, I was hoping for Kratos to break in Ragnarok. Something to make him go all-out rage mode, and not the brief seconds that happened in the Thor and Heimdall fight. I mean a full out GOW3 Kratos all over again.

I remember thinking about an Egypt era earlier. I felt as if it wouldn't make sense and I recall an Egypt sequel not making sense in my head, but I literally forgot why it wouldn't make sense.

For sure It Will be a new world, since all 9 realms are already there, so new ambientation, new main character.

Yeah, a spin-off game is perfectly fine. Replace Kratos as the main character for Atreus though, and I may just quit the series entirely.

This Is a common opinion on the internet. I dunno get It honestly tho, I like Kratos but he cannot give anything more to the story, but well people like bland but badass characters..
Zoro a good example. I Just don't want Kratos to be overused and being ruined as a character. Also Atreus Is so lovable, iron forest was my fav parte of the game, I really didn't wanna leave, the atmosphere was honestly so good and peaceful.
He's such a well characterized character, I do not get why people do not like him. Kind losers apparently do not attract people uh?

It's mainly because we've grown so familarised to Kratos and we think of him as the main one of the game. He's the one we play the game for. Without him, it's not even God of War anymore. It feels off.

I do love Kratos, but he really doesn't Need to grow as a character anymore. I loved his progression in the last 2 games, his Path reminds me a bit of "thorfinn" from Vinland saga (also check It If you like Vikings, there's a character also called Garm, Bjorn and so on), but really If you keep Kratos For an other game what can the invent? His background, his relationship with Atreus and Laufey Is his whole new personality in the last 2 games.
He has matured, he's now such a beloved person, his past is on his back, he got the best ending he could ask for. Just because he didn't die this doesn't mean he's not finished as a character and with his role.
Idk If u ever player the witcher, but After the DLC of the witcher 3 which ending could you Hope more for Geralt? I loved Geralt, but this Is the same. Some characters finished their respective roles
