He resists Thanos's main IC move (At least at the start) so I think it's best if you either give Thanos prior knowledge or you change it to someone else

(Although admittedly, Thanos can deconstruct things into to atoms, as seen with the stones and was going to do that in Endgame, which may be greater than the regen, but idk)
