Zim and Kuronuma are at odds with each other; both alien invaders want to seize control over the Earth, and neither wish to back out now. Deciding a battle between their robotic minions would be the best way to settle this issue. Zim and Kuronuma send Gir and Mechagodzilla into battle with each other. Only one invader would earn the rights to the Earth.
