It is still canon. Shinomura was mentioned in the GKOTM novel.
This is more like the Monarch series screwing the canon; I bet this series would do the same to MUTO Prime.

Actually if the revisions for R>F standards and 1-A go through then wouldn't IT/Godzilla's true form from Godzilla Singular Point's novelization become 1-A under the new system? As far as I've read based off the profile, the cosmology, and explanation blogs by Apex then Goji's true form would likely qualify for 1-A as his case of R>F seems pretty clear cut, but I'm not the Godzilla expert so I'd leave that for the professionals if and when those new standards pass

I think Godzilla's r>f stuff comes from a metaphor that a scientist gave to explain higher dimensional stuff or in other words the writer was using composite hierarchies.
Arceus0x can provide more accurate info though so ask them.

I posted this same comment already on DB forum, but it needs to be said here too. This went way heavier than it needed to, holy shit! For any Goji or Kong fans out there, the music is of an especially bitchin' nature. Referencing the 1962 Kong vs Godzilla is a deep cut, and I appreciate it.

that run sequence had noticeably worse CGI, hopefully this scene is just not perfected yet. The lighting on it awful.
Otherwise the trailer shows sth that I have issues with and that is the overabundance of titanic entities. If we have whole armies of giant jackal titans that are 80 or so meters tall that's gonna be a bit of an issue since it nerfs down the sheer size of the big two. Hopefully we'll see a clearer difference in the actual movie.
Otherwise I am definitely excited to see what they do here.
