Gajeel Redfox vs. Gray Fullbuster

I say Gajeel wins.

Devil slayer magic grants Gray increased AP against demons only and increased durability/resistance against curse power. Both of these are meaningless here. Devil slayer X791 Gray was portrayed as being roughly comparable to base X791 Natsu during their fight against Mard Geer and has AP comparable or superior to dragon force Natsu only against demons. Otherwise, X791 devil slayer Gray's powers are mostly featless against humans. Dual element mode X791 Gajeel has a lot going for him such as impressive large town to small city level AP, shadow form grants him intangibility, he is crazy fast in dual element mode as we saw during his fight against possessed Rogue and when he intercepted Torafusa when he attacked Levy.

Gajeel could probably get around in the shadows, get close to Gray and then hit him with an iron shadow dragon roar. Considering DeS X791 Gray has durability comparable to that of base X791 Natsu (they were taking similar amounts of punishment from Mard Geer), I don't see him walking away from a close range dual element roar.

One possible way Gray could avoid that is thusly: Reduce the area where they are fighting to a frozen wasteland. When Gajeel gets up close and lands the roar, he sees Gray's body crumbling. It's a clone made of ice/snow. Gray could then get in a surprise attack with Zeroth Longsword or Zeroth Longbow. But I don't know if one of these is enough to put down dual element mode Gajeel (they're featless against non-demons mind you) and let's not forget the intangibility factor.

The above tactic might only delay the inevitable. Gajeel still has advantages in firepower and mobility plus intangibility. Gray can't keep escaping via uasge of clones forever.
