I've just been researching material on D4C for something I'm writing, and I noticed an ability that Funny Valentine uses in chapters 69 and 70 that involves fusing with another copy of himself in order to create a defensive effect similar to Diver Down. The VSWiki page doesn't seem to mention this ability.
Basically, in chapter 69, when Valentine drags Diego through the flag into a parallel world, we can see him and the other Valentine merging into a single body (pic 1). In subsequent pages, Valentine is depicted with multiple heads and sets of arms.
Then, in chapter 70, when parallel universe Johnny shoots Valentine, we see him suffer mortal wounds to the neck, head, and back before dying at the door (pics 2+3). The other Valentine managed to escape with the Left Eye alive, so the logical assumption to be made is that the fusion's purpose was to provide Valentine with a failsafe in case he was mortally wounded.
I don't know if this would be a viable durability feat since it wasn't him surviving the damage directly, but on the other hand it directly involves D4C's built in obliteration prevention, so I want to get someone else's opinion on this.
