Freddy Krueger vs Itachi

What happens? Can Itachi's mind-screwing reality overcome Freddy's or will Freddy remain in control?

IIRC Freddy's powers are based on fear. if you don't fear him, he can't do much of anything to you even in dreams

with the totally *****ed up life Itachi had, i don't think Freddy is going to scare him. he was also unable to properly finish off Jason (who's much weaker than Itachi in every conceivable way) in his own dream world, and in another movie a random girl was able to succesfully pull him out of the dream. she had her house set up with traps and stuff to Kill freddy once he was in the real world...but in this case that wouldn't be necessary as Itachi could stomp him in half a second in real life.

so..Freddy's control over the dream world is in fact very limited. and in some ways dependant on the opponent.

lastly Freddy has a phobia of fire. which is not a good thing to have against a guy with a ton of fire based techniques, and amaterasu which is even worse. inextinguishable black flames would probably make Freddy freak out a lot.


..maybe it's just because Freddy suffers from the old "horror movie villain curse"...but his track record is kinda bad...so Itachi. >_>

Itach's TP is definitely higher than freddy,Since freddy needs dreams for mind control,and even then the dreamer has autonomy inside the dream,but itachi doesn't need dreams to do so and once under his mind control you are powerless,basically,Itachi can mindfux freddy pretty hard.

And once they get close,Freddy is toast.But freddy is dead isn't he? loltotsuka

Freddy has absolute 0 reality warping in dream world,all he can do is enter someone's dreams,and gets beat by normal humans using weapons and traps.Itachi is severe overkill,not to mention,itachi can probably just karate chop freddy's head off.

It depends if Itachi can survive the night and just wake up, there's no way of knowing if Itachi can even put Freddy down completely, it should also be noted the Krueger has never displayed reactions capable of even keeping track of Itachi.

Tsukuyomi will probably catch Krueger off guard, but it's basically just stalling the invitable.

Krueger probably wins due to, you know, having his trump card.

Freddy has some fairly potent reality-warping in the dream world, sure, but he's a victim of his own character more often than not. He'll want to mess around with Itachi's emotions and past and such before closing in for the kill: this is caused him problems before against opponents objectively weaker than both himself and Itachi here. Itachi, on the other hand, is much more no-nonsense, and is also much faster: he's immediately going to go for the kill and either place Freddy in a Genjutsu or just blow him up. I mean, come on, it's a pyrotechnic versus a glass cannon whose ow greatest fear is fire, and Freddy can't immortalize himself with a defensive application of his reality-warping abilities if he can't react in time. Furthermore, being a demon doesn't make him immune to genjutsu, so it's not like that's going to help either, and on top of it all he's knowledgeable enough in what entrapping people in dream-states like his own Genjutsus effectively do that he'll probably be able to figure out that this is what's going on before Freddy actually does anything that would result in his death, forcing both back into the real world and... yeah.

In response to Perpetual, the one thing I was trying to debate for who would win was basically the limits of Krueger's durability/regen in the Dream World, because if he could just keep regening from nothing per say, this match wouldn't go anywhere and Itachi would only be draining his chakra.

I'm also quite unsure how Genjutsu would come into play here since Krueger has complete control over the environment, possibly rendering Izanami irrelevant.

Amaterasu is a problem for Krueger though, seeing as it is basically his biggest fear to the power of 10, but it's debatable whether or not Krueger can overcome this in the Dream World.

Guess I'm sliding to inconclusive.

Standard battle assumptions dictate,combatants are in character but willing to kill,freddy in movies is also intent on killing,yet loses to below average human beings in the dream world itself,intent on killing itachi is overkill.
