Yeah, that's pretty much how I broke it down as well. Itachi's only chance here is catching base Madara with the Totsuka Blade, while Madara can likely incap Itachi with Wood Release pretty easily. Realistically, Madara should have some sort of Fuinjutsu, but given how the wiki is with assumptions, Mokuton Incap will have to do.

Madara should definitely have some sort of sealing barriers, his student Obito knew of the Uchiha Flame Formation Barrier which even Gyuki punches couldn't break it

Also with Sage Mode, Madara likely just weaves a Totsuki Blitz, and Itachi can't really do much, Madara can also create Mokuton from beneath Itachi's feat even within the Susano'o and chakra suppress him.

He could, but Madara will just make more. His AOE with Mokuton is ridiculous, he can't begin to cover all of it with Amaterasu. Plus, Madara can absorb it like he did with Sasuke's.

I forgot about the Uchiha Flame Formation. It's confirmed that Madara taught Obito all of the Uchiha techniques, so he should definitely have it. And at his level of chakra, his version should definitely be enough to trap Itachi and get a win through that.

Also I just remembered that Madara also knows this, so he can potentially just straight up seal Itachi tbh.

Yes, but as the fight goes on this will become a disadvantage for Madara because Itachi has an infinite supply of chakra.

Stamina won't be an issue for Madara. He could fight a high diff battle against someone AT LEAST as strong as himself for a full day, and that was before enhancing his stamina with Hashirama's cells and Sage Mode. Itachi won't tire out either, which is why I don't believe stamina will be a factor in this fight.

Also, you're forgetting that Itachi has Izanami, it's not possible for Madara to try different incapacitation techniques without Itachi at least considering using it.
