Heck with it; this would've happened one way or the other. We got Freddy Krueger, who has this thing for killing people in their dreams and in real life at the same time, against Dawn, who can actually control her own dreams. Of course Freddy's hax in the dream world would've haxstomped, so that's not gonna work even if pulling him out does weaken him into his vastly-inferior real world self. Either way, Freddy would probably find Dawn to be troublesome to deal with, if only because of her own psychic abilities (leave it to Dawn to be Professor X or something like that) and her stonewall-ish durability, while Dawn would likely figure out that Freddy's, eh... Impossible to kill as long as his dream demons got his back (Wouldn't that give Freddy Type 8?). Yeah, both of them being basic in terms of how they can attack one another wouldn't do either of them any favors. Anyway...
