Explain A Plot Badly

Farm boy lives in a world that's subjugated by an empire that crushed ancient mystical warriors long ago. Eventually, he's visited by an old man (Who was one of the surviving warriors), gains said powers, and fights against the empire's oppression. Along the way, he loses his uncle, learns one of his allies is his sibling, and finds out that that one of the characters is really his father.

Here's the kicker.

Am I talking about Star Wars or Eragon?

You are talking about Eragon.

Brom visited Eragon.

Ben Kenobi was visited by Luke.

@Monarch, Nope. Actually Eragon visits Brom. Brom was the village story-teller, Eragon liked his stories. After Sapphira hatches for him, Eragon visits Brom to inquire about Dragon names

I know Eragon visits Brom first. But then later, Brom "visits" Eragon to warn him about the Razac.

In Star Wars, Luke visits Kenobi, and Kenobi never visits Luke.

Amnesiac teen with a sword fetish who can't stay dead even after making love with the business end of an angry, red stick with a gay name, fights in a small-scale war of celebrity ghosts and pointy things to keep a malicious drinking container from falling into the hands of a blonde zombie with too much time and resources on hand.

Along the way, he summons the sometimes love of his life, the sword to his sheathe where the innuendo is awkwardly opposite, ally's with the twintailed tsundere and her own servant, manliness incarnate, fights against one of his teachers who is probably grumpy because of his all-too-little-paycheck and his all-too-full-workload and his pet witch, fights against a corrupt church official with fabulous hair and against his little... older... younger... something... half-not-really-sister and her servant that embodies all the meat in the world given sentience, all but forgets about that childhood friend of his, and finally, upon reaching the end, fights a climactic battle with the blonde zombie on who has more long, hard things to penetrate each other with, only for him to pump faster and manage to disarm said zombie, spewing hot, sticky liquid all around, and finally destroy the drinking device.

A 10 year old boy from a small town jam-packed with 2 houses and a laboratory, and his equally aged childhood rival, are brainwashed into dreaming to go out to travel the world full of dangerous super animals to fill a suspiciously empty digital encyclopedia made by a supposedly famous pokemon researcher, capture and train said animals for gamble cockfighting with other people, fighting people whose jobs are to make money from gym battles to pay for the damages to their gym buildings, and stop a world-reknowned criminal organization along the way, to become a pokemon champion, whose job is to sit around until someone tries to claim the title, ad infinitum.
All this, is for an old man to have some alone time with the boy's hot mom, while maintaining the facade of a quiet, remote town, filled to the brim with 5 people in total after the kids left and the fathers suspiciously absent.
