Jarid begins destroying the trees, soon, then he manipulates their chi to keep them from growing, breaking them. . . destroying the seeds with my chi manipulation, hopefully he can stop this infestation.
 
I stop looking for an airplane. "All right, I think it's over. We should head back to the van. We've taken down two Destroyers so I'm going back to the military to report."
 
The people who were in the airport seem to be asleep. The fire has spread to the beggining of the stairs.
 
"Oh, egads!" He then ran faster and faster until he reached the entrance and then did something devilish. He grabbed a hose out of nowhere and tried to blow the fire away.
 
"No need for anything else, guys! I got this!" He said, blowing the hose across the fire and anywhere it would be able to spread. Well, anywhere he could see it spread.
 
"I think we're clear now." He stepped out the airport to check if anything bad happened while he was gone.
 
I grow hands on the ends of my tentacles for better dexterity and use a fire extinguisher on each tentacle arm to spray all the fire with that white extinguisher spray stuff.
 
Without the hose, the fire starts spreading again.

In the airport you see people with normal eyes now, all passed out.
 
"Alright, I think you have this one." Boris stopped, letting Silas do the rest of the work. Not to be lazy.
 
There doesn't appear to be any government buildings to check the records of.

"Shit. Nothing."

There's got to be some kind of way to find out where everyone went - knowledge blossoms in my mind.

"Shiela. Did you notice any bloodstains on the way up? Or hair? A ripped piece of clothing maybe?"

"There were a few a while back... why?"

I head over in the direction she pointed.

"So. I have magic. Did I mention that? If there's some blood left over from a living person, I can use the blood to track them. Or at least get a general sense of their direction. There's probably not enough blood

"Magic?" Shiela looks at me with a mixture of amusement and concern on her face. Probably thinks I'm crazy. "Is that so?" But she follows me anyway. Given the circumstances, I'm not surprised. In the middle of what looks like the end of the world, I'd rather stay with another person than go on my own, even if I did start questioning whether they were one lightbulb short of a fridge.

We head over and I scrape up some of the blood. It's almost dry and there's not much usable, but hopefully... I pull a metal fork that I took from the diner out of my pocket. Technically theft I suppose, but one little bit of burglary won't make me go habitual.

"Do you remember if there were any camping stores around?"

"Um. There was one just over there." Shiela points.

"Grab me a compass please." Shiela rushes over.

While she's gone, I draw a circle around me and infuse it with my will, drawing on the knowledge I didn't know I had. I smear the blood on the fork and focus my power.

"Duo et unum". The fork vibrates every so slightly as magic infuses it.

I break the circle and the magic rushes out. I spin in a circle, and the fork's vibration gets stronger and stronger. As I continue turning, the vibration starts to weaken and I turn back, pointing it in the direction that makes it vibrate the most. It's meant to be a turning fork used from what I 'know', but I also know that the raw items don't matter so much as the meaning and symbology to the person using them, and a fork is close enough to a turning fork for me. I hear Shiela's footsteps behind me and I speak up.

"Whoever's blood this is, they're alive, and they're that way."

The fork's vibration lessens as the blood's 'potential' begins to run dry. Within a few seconds it's gone. There was only enough for a quick spell. I turn around to see Shiela looking at the compass and marking the direction.

I scrape a little bit more of the blood up with the fork and hope that it won't dry too much before I need to use it again.

Then I begin walking in that direction. After a moments hesitation, Shiela follows.
 
"Phew. Time to go and report."

I dissipate my tentacles and release the extinguishers before leaving the airport and going back to the van.
 
"Oh, no, no, no. Well, yes, you can wait, but come on, don't leave me hangin'!" He held up his hand, trying to get a high-five.
 
Liberty stops looking for a fire extinguisher. "Whew, that was a stressful situation." She walks over and high fives Boris, she then gets in the van.
 
"Yeah, and it's all thanks to this bag I found. Wonder what's in i-OH, MY GOODNESS!" He was shocked to see that...well...he kept it a surprise right after.
 
As I'm about to leave the city, I consider that driving a car will probably be faster than walking everywhere.

I start looking through cars to see if any have left behind keys.

Eventually I found one. I break the window and unlock the doors, then hop in.

"Come on in Sheila. This'll be faster I'm sure"

We start driving in the direction the fork indicated, or as close to that direction as we can while following the road.

For some reason I can't turn the right indicator light off. The rhythmic ticking is extremely annoying.
