Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

How is it not accurate, it shows us the true speed of it without an character reactions, especially in dramatic moments.
It's inaccurate because we have no measure of time which we had in the cases I brought up. The thing was done in a single place and was seen by people so we can see how long it takes. Anything else is up in the air if it's instant or not because we can't know if it was instant or if seconds passed.

If you're talking about Cell, we don't have a static camera shot of the teleportation.
No but we do have the sound of it. We see Goku disappearing and the sound of him vanishing, then for a little bit cell still looks up and after he looks down as soon as we hear the sound of the reappearance and Goku drawn with speed lines to reference movement.

So you think Cell kept looking at the empty sky like a dumbass after Goku dissappeared for X amount of time, looking down only once there was the 'sound of the reappearance'?
..Do you think the IT sound effect is actually canon?

the reappearance and Goku drawn with speed lines to reference movement.
..Do you think that an animation studio would animate teleporting as phasing out of existence in a singular frame like it's DBZA??

it's a teleport.
which really doesn't matter much in this site

it's literally called instantaneous movement.
Instant

  1. a precise moment of time.

  2. a very short space of time; a moment.
it being done in an "instant" means that it takes time, aka not in 0 time
It has traveled across infinite distances instantly.
out of all of what you said, this is the 1 thing that matters, could you give the feat?

Yes or when he felt his ki again.

I have no idea about that. Can't possible know. Whether it's canon inverse doesn't matter because it gives us info.

Had they wanted to do it instantly they would. They didn't so I can't support an instant transmission when nothing beyond the name does.

There is precisely zero way to find out the time between the appearance and disappearance when the scene is not taking place at the same event where we can see both from the viewpoint of others.

It's a teleport, the actual teleportation itself is instant but Goku activating IT and then reappearing isn't, just like pretty much all depictions of teleportation.

Of course it matters if you're using it for scaling. The sound is there for the viewer. It makes no sense for a teleport to make sound, there has never been mention in the series of the sound's existence. This sound and speed lines being used for teleportation is the equivalent of invisible characters having outlines for the viewer to know where they are, if you think that using them to invalidate Instantaneous Movement being Instantaneous you're straight up being silly.

Some notable things in the new chapter:
  • Fat Gotenks takes a blow from Cell Max then gets launched by A18 and is fine after
  • Gotenks + A18's force cracks Cell Max's head
  • Gotenks is shown dodging a near pointblank mouth beam from Cell Max after cracking his head then outruns a series of mouth blasts
  • A18 can't react in time to a blast from Cell Max but Krillin's Destructo Disc slices it in half (so unlike the movie he doesn't hit Cell Max with it)
  • It's stated by SS1 Gohan that their shots are 'barely hitting him' when Fat Gotenks was launched with enough force that Cell Max couldn't avoid it
  • It's explicitly shown Cell Max recovered from the Solar Flare before Gamma 2 hits him, with Piccolo even exclaiming "Oh crap!!" which heavily implies Gamma 2's power could have killed him or at least hurt him MUCH more if not for Cell Max recovering so quickly.
  • Orange Piccolo's mouthblast blows Cell Max away and he states turning Giant doesn't change his strength (like in the movie)
  • Piccolo states Gohan could be the 'World's strongest' if he 'put his mind to it'
  • Cell Max slams a distracted Krillin and A18 to the ground (Krillin being behind A18) and they survive (but appear injured after)
  • SS1 Gohan gets one shot by Cell Max slamming him, goes from undamaged to visibly damaged and in base form (when KRILLIN survived and stayed conscious from the same thing
  • Fat Gotenks dodges another mouth beam from Cell Max
  • Orange Piccolo smashes Cell Max around with his punch and then a roundhouse kick but Cell Max then counters and beats him up
  • The fully recovered Ultimate Gohan uppercuts Cell Max, blowing him away then blasting him on the ground. Stopping him long enough for Piccolo and Gohan to discuss a gameplan
  • Orange Piccolo tells Ultimate Gohan to charge up all of his power into a Kamehameha ('or whatever') and blast it through Max's head while Piccolo distracts him
So basically:
  • Fat Gotenks consistently scales beyond SS1 Gohan's power (Gotenks should also be exhausted via taking blows from Cell Max beforehand)
  • Krillin scales to or above an exhausted SS1 Gohan and Android 18
  • Android 18 also scales to around the level of an exhausted SS1 Gohan
  • Orange Piccolo scales to Cell Max much better than in the movie
  • Gamma 2 is heavily implied to have been capable of killing Cell Max if his attack had landed before Max recovered
  • Orange Piccolo has more faith in Ultimate Gohan's full power Kamehameha killing Cell Max than himself

1-A Toribot?
Tik Tok and YT shorts scalers were ahead of their time wtf

Man I love Super's powerscaling 🍷🗿
The fact that Krillin can basically bitchslap cell is kinda fun.
Krillin's Destructo Disc slices through Cell Max's energy blast. Goku + Vegeta's Galick Kamehameha is torn through by SS1 Broly. Via basic scaling and argumentation SH Krillin's Destructo Disc would slice through SS1 Broly like a hot knife through butter.

In other words, SH Krillin probably one shots DBS:B SS1 Broly.

That makes zero sense trought, so you most likely wrong.

Logically speaking there is no logic to DB scaling.

Besides which it'll always be silly when we say these characters are "Universal+" or whatever because we are literally saying they're infinitely more powerful than the ones who are, such as saying Goku is infinitely stronger than Krillin. It gets even worse when we say something as ridiculous as Goku getting infinitely stronger when he transforms...

Last I recall Base Piccolo and Base Gohan were scaled to the level of SSB Goku/Vegeta (via Piccolo stating the Gammas are comparable to them and both Piccolo and Base Gohan holding up to them). Piccolo and Gohan are even scaled to 6 Universes in base form on their profiles. Which Goku only first reached in UIS.

The same logic would apply to the manga, just to the Moro Saga. Base Gohan and Base Piccolo would scale to Moro Saga SSBs. Then Super Saiyan is a 50x multiplier. In other words:

Cell Max >> SS1 Gohan > SS1 Broly >> (Around 50x) >> Base Gohan = Moro CSSB Goku >> Broly CSSB Goku ~ Wrathful Broly

SS1 Gohan is 50x Base Gohan and SS1 Broly is 50x Wrathful Broly.

Krillin's Destructo Disc > Cell Max's Blast. Krillin also survives a blow from Cell Max that later smashes SS1 Gohan into base and heavily damages him. So Krillin's Destructo Disc would one shot SS1 Broly. That's basic scaling.

You might think that makes no sense but I'm just going off what has been stated on the wiki.

It is what it is.

Cool factor go brrrr. Also basically characters not caring about scaling and such. Basically rule of cool.

Mystic Gohan was supposed to be this unearthing of tremendous potential of the most powerful dude among the living. And now Krillin scales higher than Mystic Gohan who fought Buu.

Cabba stomps Z Super Vegito and Buuhan tag teaming him. lmao haha powercreep goes brrrrrrrrr
Shhh don't speak anymore. The problem is making so many things irrelevant. Ssj2, vegito, 3, kid buu, Mystic Gohan. All those can be used like punching bags by krillin. Let alone Orange Piccolo who if he fight buu currently would use him as a chewing gum.

Tfw when a literal ******* bug murderstomps all of DB and DBZ.
Krillin hurts more to be honest. At least we didn't knwo about the bug. We knew about Krillin but somehow now he is beyond God Goku. Krillin is somehow beyond a very specific ritual giving godly powers to one of the most powerful races in all the universes.

Hachimaru giga-godstomps all of Z combined seethe cope mald bow down to your 2-C Bee GOD

Does anyone else ever think about how Piccolo is currently in his mid 20s? Like, it's so easy to forget that he's pretty young, especially compared to most of the main cast.
Technically he's only young biologically, he's still very much king piccolo, just reincarnated in a new body

That rapid biological growth definitely made people think he was part of the old gen Z fighters, when in reality he's the oldest of the new gen z fighters.
