Dr. Stone Discussion Thread: Acquired!

AnonymousBlank said:
Speaking of Hyoga, I just realised he was on the boat and got stoned with the rest of the crew lmao. Just have one if the guys accidently revive him and we can see who wins the fight ovo
Tfw you read the new chapter and realise you basically called it over a month ago.

HYPEEEEEEEEEEEE So hyped for the next chapter.

Also, Idk what level of speed we could give Mozu when he aim-dodged the gun at point blank by seeing the guy pull the trigger.

Looks like muh boi Tsukasa is still the Strongest Primate.

Also Hyouga should have made a "Do you know I got these scars?" joke while he had the chance. Sad times.

I just wanna say I LOVED the newest episode. Love all the scientific inventing, brainstorming & progressing.

@ApiesDeathbyLazors:

Cotton candy machine acquired, allowing transformation of crystal (Like crystalized sugar!) into string, thus, cotton candy! Thanks for burning the potato ale or whatever it was, Hyoga! You got them sugar crystals!

The modern day's super drug of cotton candy was introduced to the Stone Age people! Everyone was infatuated! The spy liked it, too!

Senku explained the needs of cell phone communication & laying out the gold wire!

Kohaku's shield was made into the first gear, much to her father's tearful sorrow.

Gears acquired!

Chrome & Kaseki used wooden gears to make a forever cotton candy spinner machine water wheel. Senku was mildly surprised & impressed!

Toonami is even further behind, lol. But at least it's getting an English dub, right? I read spoilers on TV Tropes a while back when the first few episodes had hit. The future plots intrigue me....

So the scaling (with some memeing) goes

  • Yo > guns >>> Tsukasa >>> sleeping Tsukasa >>> Owarikan-Ryuu Hyoga > fatally wounded Tsukasa.
  • Owarikan-Ryuu Hyoga >>> serious Mozu > casual Mozu > spear Hyoga > KoS without Kohaku
  • casual Mozu >>> post war KoS > Kohaku > glasses Kinro >>> Magma > Kinro >> steroid Ginro > Ginro >= the island guards (presumably)
Senku is technically there with fatally wounded Tsukasa but he is less than useless (Chrome) in a fight so its just Tsukasa lol

How are the calcs for this? These are some heavy spoilers for the spinoff manga Dr. Stone reboot: Byakuya, so be warned if you've only watched the anime so far:

https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Calculations#Meteors_and_Kinetic_Energy

The equation used: Ek=0.5*M*V^2

Terms: Ek=Kinetic Energy M=mass V=velocity=speed

If the meteor in question was determined to have come from outer space (or outside of our atmosphere) we will use the value of minimum impact velocity, which is the minimum value of speed an object needs to enter the earths atmosphere, that value is 11,000 m/s.

If the meteor in question was shown to be Ablated, but didn't come from space, we will use Ablation speeds, which are the minimum speed an object needs to move in order for it to be ablated by its own friction with the atmosphere, the values range from 2000-4000 m/s.

A reasonable high end for meteors that come from outer space is 17,000 m/s, as it is the speed value of most of the meteors that have entered earths atmosphere.

It sounds like this meteor came from space. Since they're using metric, 300 trillion tons is probably metric tonnes. Presumably, our formula assumes kilograms for mass, & 1 metric tonne is 1,000 kg.

0.5 * 300,000,000,000,000 (three-hundred trillion) * 11,000^2 = 18,150,000,000,000,000,000,000 joules. So add another three zeroes to the end of that result.

18,150,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 joules or 1.815×10^25 . This is nearly the maximum yield of 6-A; 6-A's maximum yield is 1.855604x1025 which is just SLIGHTLY higher.

If we assume 17,000 m/s, the high end.... It only goes up to 4.335×10^25 joules . Barely even Multi-Continent Level (High 6-A.), but High 6-A DOES peak at 1.24x1029 so not easy to break out of it anyway.
