In the first sight it seems like Doom Guy may not be able to fully kill D but he can absorb his being/powers after "killing" him to stop the possibility of D coming back.

Nah, but Doomguy resists D's base kit. That being said, D at this key can straight up evolve to deal with people that previously resisted him. (And has several, though at this moment undocumented, layers based on his fight with Gilzen alone, much less by the point he faces the Sacred Ancestor, which both stalemate and keep evolving against each other for eternity)

Edit: Although, are Doomguy's hax/resistances 5-D or scale to the full 6-D here? If 6-D, then yeah, he wins through absorption, as D has nothing (besides the body puppetry lmao) that works, and Doomguy absorbing is more likely assuming he has the AP to shoot through D (though again reminder, at this key, D is stalemating the Sacred Ancestor, with both already having a massive and I do mean insane scaling above the Low 2-C they scale to, while still evolving through every step of their fight)

Heres the thing though, Doom Guy can do something very similar. Even when he was more of a mortal he was able to survive (with willpower and rage not with normal resistances) Davoths 6th dimensional essence being put inside his own essence, remember this procedure killed, destroyed and madness induced everyone else

So basically D can get layers but Doomguy can get higher D resistances when they adapt
