Does Conan Edogawa have enough feats to be an Extraordinary Genius?

From what I heard, for a character to be consiered a extraordinary genius, they must display impossible intelligence by real world standards.

From my experince from watching the show. Conan shows to have extraordinary knowledge in a vast amout of subjects. He also has extraordinary skills in many other subjects such as being a Expert Detective, marksmen, etc.

In my opinion, this should be near or on the level to be potentially be considered a extraordinary genius, but what do you guys all think?

I don't think so. Yes, Conan/Shinichi is a genius, but they aren't revolutionizing the world with their discoveries. Heck, Shinichi relies on Agasa for most of his gadgets.

Genius should be good enough.

Conan Edogawa Is a genius, but I don't think he's smart enough be consired an Extraordinary Genius.

He's not even the best detective from the show. His dad is always one step ahead of him. However I do think Conan is smarter than his dad in terms of other subjects(like knowing a vast amount of random trivial stuff)

But if you really wink Conan, I think he could potentially be a extraordinary Genius due to his extraordinary knowledge of the world.

He's like a portable computer with his random knowledge of stuff.

There is almost 900 episodes in Detective Conan, So there might be a something in those 900 episodes that may indicate he may be a extraordinary Genius.

Not really.

Yes, Conan is comparable to people with an IQ of 400 and he has excellent problem solving skills, but his intelligence isn't to the extent that he's a walking supercomputer like other so-called Extraordinary Geniuses. He's still within the bounds of what one can realistically expect from the best of humanity.

I agree with Reppuzan.

I agree with Reppuzan, there is a big difference between being twice as smart as a human and being able to do quadrillions of calculations per second.

So, since the question has been answered, should I close this thread?

Possible or at least potentially, he is already Genius by default and there is evidence to suggest that he may be a Extraordinary Genius, principally because he can match Kaito Kid who had an IQ of 400 (which is greater than the highest IQ ever recorded).

And even if it wasn't the case the series is still going on so there is the possibility that he could display even more impressive feats in the future.

Reppuza. Agasa be the one who created Shinichi/Conan's gadgets is not that relevant, i mean Sosuke Aizen, Lelouch vi Britannia or Joseph Joestar aren't inventors/scientists and they're still ranked at Extraordinary Genius.

LordWhis. Pretty sure that only Supergenius are capable to do a feat on that kind, i do not remember Batman even be capable to make quadrillions of calculations per second .

@Stefano

He's not a walking supercomputer though like the other Extraordinary Geniuses who basically define the scientific community in their respective verses.

Heck, I don't even like these ratings. They're available, but I'd much rather just list out what the character has done in a nice paragraph rather than stamp an arbitrary rating on them.

You're supposed to list a paragraph of feats and intelligence descriptions instead of just slapping an arbitrary rating on them. That's explicitly a thing on the page.

IQ means nothing, also, both in real life and in fiction. You don't need to be a scientist to be high on the intelligence scale, you can just be really, really smart.

I agree with Promestein.

Anyway, it is probably best if I close this now.
