'cause in japanese the Volcano is described as
Volcano-ヴォルケイノ-地面を殿り 付け る事で光のエネルギーを爆発さ せ る・十左スティック前方, which I can roughly translate to Volcano - Press the left stick forward to release a burst of light energy via Google. Hell, even the supernova calc states that it's an explosion of light. Can someone provide a human translation of the text?

I see. So that's why Beowulf isn't used for scaling then. I know I'm overreacting, but DMC has become a huge part of my life. Especially 3, and yes, it's just a game, but I take a hugelittle bit of pride in having considerable knowledge about the verse. I'm also writing a fanfic and learning that Dante and Vergil in 3 don't get smacked in the face with a nova made me realise that I have to make even more adjustments to the plot than I already did.

The fic's in Russian. I'm not exactly planning on translating it yet (hell, I gotta release a new goddamn chapter). A crossover of Honkai Impact and DMC, because why the hell not. The powers of the verses are adjusted to make it balanced, because if I used lore accurate Honkai, I'd have to use the SMT scalings. I'm all for Dante and Vergil being OP, but the idea of the fic is basically Visions of V reimagined, so it's more about psychology of Post-Angelo Vergil instead of curbstomping everyone.

That's 5 Dante tho, and he does this only in SDT (at least gameplay-wise). We're talking about DMC 3 post-DT Dante with Beowulf.

I know. But the Beowulf thing isn't an accurate translation as far as we know, whereas this feat might actually be real.
