Doctor Who Discussion Thread

Has anyone read God Encompasses, it's a short story in FP and I know it has some stuff relating to what I said above and features a character who could be the Doctor (grandfather halfling)

Oh fr? I've heard conflicting stuff but interesting.
Yes, although I don't know who would win a battle between the two. I mean, anonymity is essentially immune to everything because it is apophatic, whereas the Enemy is not. Though I also don't think anonymity could do anything to the Enemy. For example, even the void beyond the Time vortex is not truly apophatic. The nature of anonymity must be the most op of the verse, I suppose.

Anonymity is stronger than The Glory?

  • Where does the Enemy fit into all of this? Well, remember when I described history as a version of the past that people choose to remember? The Enemy are simply the facts of reality reasserting themselves in the face of the interpretations imposed upon it: they are the fact that history has no arc, no morals, and no ethics. They are the fact that the Great Houses are not the centre of the universe any more than Rome was the centre of the world when it had an Empire. The Enemy is the environmental limits of time and the universe asserting themselves. The Great Houses, in their intellectual sterility, can only interpret this as an intelligence and an enemy and its impact as an attack, which on the one hand means that they can fight back but on the other means that they are eventually going to lose by the very nature of interpreting this as something that can be won or lost. Meanwhile, the various other things considered the Enemy: Mal’akh hoping for a little pay back, the end point summoned into the City of the Saved, mutineers from what was once the 6th wave, a timeship hoping to force changes upon her own society, xenophobic mutants travelling in their own personal war machines; all of these are merely powers that are trying to take advantage of this fact for their own ends. - The Book of The Enemy

Ah ok, thanks. In the story I was talking about, Gods Encompassing, I think the Anonymity like revives everyone and gives them an aspect of it

It consumes them in a way that's impossible to describe because Anonymity is unknowable and incomprehensible.

Word seems to have qualitative superiority based on the typical "I am the author and the multiverse is fiction"

By the way, does anyone know what level the Master is on the scale of psychics within Gallifrey society?
He has a couple of interesting feats, for example he mind slaves an entire planet in The Time Thief off-screen and the Doctor can overwrite the Master's hypnosis of one of these people affected

I might be mistaken, but I recall the Doctor managing to defeat the Master in mental battles. And the Doctor has been declared several times as one of the weakest psychics from Gallifrey.

so there is r>f and also hierarchies and stuff
R>f yeah, hierarchies no for now

Probably both the master and Doctor are average, in any case this is more a feat of how many of them the Master can control at the same time rather than potency, however, the master's control over the Ekanprian persists even from a universe distant from ours so it would also be range

Is it just me or do the authors like to boost the time lords' sense of smell?

The Doctor literally found The Master in The End of Time Part 1 via his smell. He was miles away at the time.
  • DOCTOR: I lost him. I was unconscious. He's still on Earth, I can smell him, but he's too far away.
What's in the annuals out of interest?
I can add you to our convos if you want. All the info is there, alongside pretty much all the Doctor Who media ever made.
I’m British
"I'm so sorry about that, is there anything we can do?"

Literally half my family are English or at least from the UK, btw.

Yeah sure thanks. I also do need to read/listen to some other media myself lol so it would be appreciated

Dumb question; would Sutekh get the hax of the Bad Wolf (like Omniscience?) in addition to his own stuff?

He similarly looked into the Vortex and evolved, likely doing so for significantly longer then Rose did and we know there’s evidence for certain beings taking to the power differently.

Time Lords with that power would be vengeful Gods and Sutekh claims to have evolved into his rightful Godhood, somehow birthing the other members of the Pantheon of Discord.

Lol I just wondered if sarah Jane smith will get a page considering her spin off. Does she even have any notable feats? Maybe good intelligence idk. It would be funny to see.

At least she should have a Chuck of resistences from traveling in the Tardis as well as a pretty good experience from all her travels, idk more I haven't seen her series

Lol. Maybe after all of the revisions on cosmology and etc are done I will watch the series and see if I can find anything good for her. I know she faces the Trickster who’s really strong so yeah
