I just finished volume 2, and yes, there's no reason why the Sparda bloodline in general wouldn't have this fear manipulation when two characters with Sparda blood did that. The Beastheads just recharged Dante's energy; they didn't give him any new powers.

They are beyond Sparda in power, Chen literally got power from the Beastheads. Text literally says this:

Dante could sense a change in the other man's aura. He was no longer purely human, but not a demon either. Chen emitted a powerful magic that lacked the wicked blackness of the Underworld. His aura was green with immeasurable lust for power and knowledge.
Strange energy danced around the room, colliding in on itself in a magical storm-Dante and Chen stood calmly in the eye.
Yeah, they both are related to Sparda but the power they wield doesn't come from Sparda, one is literally being powered by the beastheads and the other has already surpassed Sparda's power long ago, the power is his own

Chen literally had Sparda's skill just because he had a DNA sample on his sword, even though skill is supposed to have nothing to do with genetics. There's no way Chen didn't receive at least some of the Sparda's powers as well. And we see that Chen and one of Sparda's sons both have a fear that can affect an entire building.
Also, how had Dante already surpassed Sparda a long time before? From when?

Uh no, Chen got the skill because he became omniscient thanks to the beastheads, he explicitly says that to Dante.
Yeah, he got power from Sparda but also from the Beastheads.

we dont know how strong sparda was/is and probably never will (rip dmc6) so we cant really say dante/vergil surpassed him.

Dante already killed someone twice as strong as Sparda, Dante killed someone who killed Sparda, Dante is stated to have surpassed all of Sparda feats/achievements, Dante is stated to have surpassed Sparda's skills, Dante is stated to have surpassed Sparda's powers/abilities.
We have no clue how strong Sparda really was but we know with 100% accuracy that he was left in the dust long ago by Dante even before getting the big ass power boost from dmc5

Yes, but given that Dante also demonstrated this fear manipulation, it just proves that it's a characteristic specific to Sparda, not the Beastheads. Whether Dante surpassed Sparda or not doesn't change the fact that he still possesses his abilities because he's his son. There's no way that's a coincidence.

Beating Abigail and Void Mundus doesn't necessarily make you stronger than Sparda (just at least comparable) but I still agree since there are only a few months between DMC Anime and DMC Volume 2 so Dante couldn't have become significantly more powerful between the two.

He's probably talking about Void Mundus, but it wasn't even a fight.
He's probably referring to the DMC4 guidebooks which confirm that Dante surpassed Sparda in power and skill.
I'm not sure, but I think he's referring to a statement in DMC2 that says Dante surpassed his father.
What is 100% certain is that by the time of DMC4, Dante had already surpassed Sparda, as stated in one of the guidebooks.

When comments are removed as you're describing, it's usually staff threads like the RVR which is basically a workplace for the staff, a very different matter from a content revision thread. Unless, as Imaginym said, the comments are insulting, trolling or otherwise inappropriate.can a mod delete the unnecessary comments in here please
