Discussing Hyrule Encyclopedia (Let's get blasted by a canonball)

Hyrule Encyclopedia

-The recent thread on Majora's Mask 3-A upgrade was rejected only due to the canonity of Hyrule Encyclopedia and it was decided not to be used due to creative liberties.I recently discovered that the creative liberties don't apply to the USA publication

Debunking the Creative Liberties

-The statement made by Anouma that states that most everything is "Creative Liberties" doesn't apply to the USA publication,in fact it's stated nowhere in the USA Book.

-The date the quote was stated was before the publication of the USA Book

Quote Date:2017,March

English Date:2018,May

Applying a quote a year apart that applies to a completely published edition shouldn't apply to the most recent edition the edition that has the information based around the upgrade especially when the quote is mentioned nowhere in the USA book.

-The publication and editing was different for the USA book as well asan interview with Patrick Thorpe the editor for the USA Edition describes the heavy amounts of fact checking that was performed in order to have the book published and that Nintendo was closely involved in it's confirmation and publication.

Specifically stated:("But these books have accomplished something unexpected, too: canonizing stories never built to be permanent, hemming in a gameworld known for its constant reinvention and imagination.")

The Nintendo's Liscencing and Anouma's Signature

-Logically thinking this makes no sense. To have Nintendo liscence a book to the U.S having it go through extensive amounts of fact checking and statements literally eating away at the Editor and to also have Anouma's signature on the book as well and having all that be noncanon would be insane.Even if the Creative Liberties presented were on the U.S publication what's not to say that Nintendo is fine with the liberties as they clearly are as they liscenced and are selling the books.

In Conclusion

The Japanese release for Hyrule Encyclopedia should be diregarded but not the USA version as it went through large amounts to of editing and fact checking under close watch by Nintendo as stated in the article. The WOG statement about creative liberties would not apply to the USA publication therefore all lore in the USA book should be considered canon.

A canonball to the face seems nice right about now

I honestly hate that the canonity of these books is like going through a godamn labyrinth(labyrinth zone flashbacks).Yeah it seems Hyrule Encyclopedia is trustable as long as the creative liberties aren't apart of the U.S version
