Replaying old games can be surprisingly pleasant. I replayed DMC3 recently and it's definitely still good.Replayed the Reboot, still good as ever

It is interesting that it's arguably still the best DMC game even with the technology advancements of 4 and 5, both good games in their own right.
Its not as advanced as them, but I do like a lot of things 3 does that the other 2 don't. For starters, I think 3 has the best bosses in the game, a few hiccups here and there, but I think the best ones over shadow the worst ones, but I honestly do think the reason I replayed 3 so much over the other 2 is due to 2 things: You have multiple saves that allow you to start at higher difficulties without any upgrade and the fact that, regardless of the character you choose, you play the 20 missions with them.
The problem with 4 is half the game is absolutely ass cheeks. It takes backtracking to the extreme with Dante’s portion.
I'll be completely honest, back tracking was never an issue to me, my main issue with 4 is just how much I hate the enemies there. I feel like I could've likely have a better time nowadays given I played and replayed 4 when I wasn't really into DMC but like, it's still not attractive to me, I don't like Nero that much and I disliked the fact Dante had to cycle through Lucifer, a weapon that didn't catch my interest when I played the game

I must interject and say, Netflix Not Dante doesn't appear to be gay.
The trick will be what happens after this with the show. Other shows, especially disrespectful adaptations, have started out with decent numbers and then dropped off, especially from losing faith with the audience. In this case Shankar seems to be very much adding to that problem.

I understood the joke. I guess I responded to it more seriously because we've already seen the guy behind the reboot say that Classic Dante wasn't cool because the guy thought he might be gay. Just one of his many stupid comments.
I mean, you should always have to remove the cause of the problem. Or the Disease… not the symptoms
In the case of those adaptations the cause is the shows and ideas behind them, and the symptoms include alienating the fanbase, numbers dropping off after the existing fanbase realizes the show isn't a respectful adaptation, tourists either being turned off by the allegory or checking out the source material and deciding the adaptation isn't respectful, or indeed just moving on because they're tourists, and then the show suffers losses. In this case Shankar is actively trying to annoy everyone at once in his social media presence, so we'll see.

Eh, based on it would be neat, but 1:1 doesn't work, comics are a different media after all, I think it would be neat if they made adaptations of the smaller ones, like Beast Wars (Both the Gathering and The Ascending), Last Stand of the Wreckers, etc. They are much better for movies, and the long running ones are better as comics
Like I said, we'll see how things go from here. Shankar's allegory was rigged up to appeal to just one type of people, and then those same people went digging through his history and found there were things he said that they hated. Meanwhile that allegory annoyed pretty much everyone else. Keep in mind the show held off until the final scene to truly shove the allegorical stuff down your throat. Show was practically a test for how long it took people to realize they were being lectured again.
It is not really owened by Vergil '-'. If you mean like, Vergil is the person who uses the most it, yeah, but he doesn't really owns the weapon, Dante has it.
