It's still something Sparda's weapon possessed, at least the amulet did as a form of sealing. Then again, that sounds exactly like properties of Demonic Energy to does things on quantum scale given how widely this term is being used around on random occasions.

It would be sealing, for Sparda, as Dante doesn't display that, and I doubt it is how Demonic energy works as it was never related in the show, I don't know if Demonic Energy is even stated in the anime as they went a morr SciFi route to explain demons, will see if they do when I complete my rewatch, but even if they stated it, it is a stretch to say every demon has that power
 
Anime has nothing to do with main canon. Sonic stop trying to inject canon shit into it, doesn't work.

Also, funny shit. NMC is more like a quick pastime while DanDaDan season 2 starts.

Also, also, funnier shit is lady stomping Dante or the anti Dante gun.

Funniest shit is humans and demons practically being distant relatives of the same species LMAO
 
The Netflix DMC show is by no means canon. Coz ******* hell, there ain't any Demon with innocence in their heart. Like that family trapped inside DW and needed to get into HW to escape or shit like that.

It's pretty good for casuals but some concepts just make no sense altogether when you combine with actual series imho. Take it as another Netflixvania situation, just enjoy for what it is.

I hope that the original DMC fans don't hate this anime, this anime is very good and the perfect chance to know more about Esparda (since he is alive).

I want season 2 now
 
Well assuming they don't decide to make this series canon or even Semi-Canon/"partly canon" to the games (Regardless of the consequences). We now have enough Dante's for the "Devil May Cry: No Way Home" idea.

9-A is for certain, there is prob some room for tier 8, maybe even 8-B, but not beyond that

I don't know what to do about Lady, to scale her to full on demons or just her own feats (Which to be fair isn't that bad) physically, prob ok on scalling her in relation to speed.

Speedwise I believe it won't go above Supersonic

Animation was meh to shit. The 3D was just 2016 berserk. Fights were boring.

Art was decent, DT design sucks ass tho.

Music selection... They ******* added Nero's theme to Dante

Dante design is still bad (I hate the green eyes)

Lady is the MC/protagonist and all the plot happens because of her actions. She also has the spotlight.

Dante doesn't have nearly enough screen time.

Plot was meh all around.

Sparda looked hideous, is a coward and a dumbass.

Political sub-plot was ass.

Humanizing demons is the worst.

Demons are actually humans lmao

There is more but I got lazy.

Feats?

Lady is top 3 and almost killed Dante at least twice, defeated him more times and has the most feats.

Sparda is a bum scientist, no feats.

Dante is quite fodder lol

Lady will probably end up on par with Volume 1 Dante... Probably even DMC 3 Dante
 
Do we have a discussion thread for the show specifically? I'd rather not interact with the main wiki side of DMC when working on a spinoff TV series so things won't collide

Where you see Lady comparable to him lol, in their first encounter he was physically better then her and needed gadgets and tricks to get him, you act like she threw hands bare handed with him
 
Dante acts like a ******* idiot during the whole Goddamn show.
Lady worst characters in the show i hate him.

Dante is trash in this Netflix series. He's so nerfed, it's shameful. Lady humiliated Dante, everyone humiliates him this same Dante can't even beat the final boss without Lady's help. Dante's Devil Trigger is ugly as hell. He struggled to beat Agni and Rudra, whereas in DMC3 he was just having fun.

Lady injects him with something and he almost dies I was just sitting there like, Bro... I'm not even gonna talk about the fact that Dante can’t survive in Hell. WTF?? The same DMC3 Dante who walked into Hell like it was a walk in the park...?
 
Lady very consistently outperforms Dante, and meanwhile he's so utterly worthless he might as well disappear. He's a complete waste of skin, and the show is a character assassination of him. Meanwhile the true protagonist Lady is thoroughly unlikable.

The story doesn't hold up either. Attempting to use DMC demons as allegories for real life political stuff and wars just doesn't work and doesn't fit with DMC. If the "all-powerful" 'murica invaded the DMC underworld the entire army would get transmuted instantly, and the nukes shown wiping out demons wouldn't do much of anything to stronger ones. Never mind that demons are spirits even further rendering nukes useless. The entire lore has to be used as toilet paper to allow this poorly made political allegory. Never mind that the theme of armed forces killing innocents has been done far better so many times that the allegory is overused as well.

The only good thing about this show is that it's not canon.

DT Dante having a competitive fight with Rudra, all for Lady to just one shot him lol

Dante parries and dodges bullets against guys with automatics but when Lady shoots him, it almost always lands, like the taser rounds that incap him or when he gets shot in the leg near the end.

The way I look at this is, that Shankar is only going to come up with making Dante look more incompetent as the show goes on. Dante might get his styles and stronger DT forms which should just make Lady a bench warmer like the low tier Z fighters, but Shankar is just gonna write Dante to job to keep Lady a central character.
 
Honestly, just watch the 2007 anime. Canonical, lore-accurate, respectful, features the real voice of Dante, no hamfisted allegory that has been done better millions of times and requires all the lore to be ignored, just better.

Honestly people, what you expected from this series? Netflix Castlevania wasnt canon to the games and did its own thing too, from more trailers it was evident they do their take on it

Was it perfect or a master piece? No, if you are gonna criticize something, at least do it without sh*tting like a twitter/youtuber commenting on a topic

It was moreso my assumption over how Demonic Energy works in the show, especially considering how consistently it is described in place of main power system of the verse.

Frankly speaking though, nothing has been explained yet about the energy system of this verse so I'm going to wait for more seasons to give a much needed detail over everything.

Sparda's seal and that Demon having quantum based abilities suggests that it is a property of Demonic Energy and how it works there altogether but it does not yet established anything so you could say it's a 50/50 situation here instead.

As for the show? I'll drop my review over it soon. I'm currently analyzing the pros and cons it has.

But yeah, it had alot to be desired...

It's fine. I think people overexegerating because it's not DMC enough.

However, the promises we were given about the show, it barely held upto it and I'll discuss over it soon.
