DCU General Discussion Thread

Doctor Phosphorus was no doubt holding back against Flag, if last episode was an indication. Makes me wonder how Batman did him in
It's Batman, even in his weakest form and without the Batgod/Prep time meme, he's supposed to be on a whole different level. And I just love that technically he already has a pretty good feat before he's even really introduced in the DCU

I just love the fact that when the light goes out and everybody starts screaming, Phosphorus stands there a few seconds like

- Wait, why are you screaming? You've been dancing with a nuclear skeleton who just murdered a crime boss and his entire family, including his young child, to take over his whole empire! What could possibly sca-"

*turns around and looks above

- "....oh."

I’m honestly glad that Gunn made the animators cut back on the amount of Batman in the episode, because that glimpse of him and everything leading up to it was absolutely perfect.

Although it would’ve been really funny if one of Phosphorus’ goons pointed up to the ceiling and yelled “IT’S DA FRIGGIN BAT-“

All that was missing was an Arkham goon yelling

We still need calcs before we can really start working on profiles, and it’d probably be best to wait until the finale (at least for the Task Force M members) anyway.

On that note, UchihaSlayer and I made a plan for what we need to do to get the verse up and running on the wiki, which I’ll share after the finale airs.

What are you guys predicting for Nina's crime. I'm guessing indecent exposure
Bride: Unknown (Probably murder, assault, destruction of property, and some other shit given how she acted so far. Especially if they've cumulated over the years)
G.I Robot: "Murder" (Killed 37 neo nazis, which technically counts a murder)
Weasel: Murder (Framed for the deaths of seven children, people keep getting it wrong and saying twenty-seven)
Doctor Phosphorus: ...(Honestly, what hasn't bro done besides probably sexual crimes. Even then given that he runs a gang, I wouldn't put human trafficking behind him)

That’d probably be my guess as well. Maybe assault if she fought back against those kids we saw in the episode trailer who were bullying her, but I can’t imagine it’d be anything worse than that.

Love to see that the last feat is higher than the 9-B feats from Peacemaker, and it’s from a character that the Bride stomped.

Here’s a list of some other calcable feats:
  • G.I. Robot and Doctor Phosphorus break through walls of Frankenstein Castle (Episode 3)
  • Phosphorus reacts to bullets (Episode 3)
  • Weasel knocks down a door (Episode 4)
  • The Bride dodges electricity from the metahuman (Episode 6)
There’s also Phosphorus blocking the tank bullet in Episode 5, but I don’t know if that’d be better to calc or just get the value of the bullet and scale him to that.

Rick Flag Sr. and Doctor Phosphorus (Physically and without his own wall busting feat calced yet), and Clayface (We never see him harm Frankenstein, only restrain him) scale to calc 2
Bride, Circe (physically), Weasel, and Eric scale to calc 4
Circe and Phosphorus scale to their own feats

G.I Robot can lift a ceramic bathtub filled with water and a person inside it over his head. I'm guessing that's at least half-a-ton of weight

Bride is strong enough to rip the door off an old-fashion furnace, throw a truck into the air, snap a enhanced human's human in two, and rip his heart out. A also think she ripped off the arms of that one Amethyst Knight. She also appears to jump far distances...I almost thought it was flying the two times she did it

Eric can lift grown men up with ease and snap a neck. Phosphorus also has one of lifting a grown man up, two actually. Though the latter has him dangling him off a building, he doesn't appear to struggle holding him up before his ankles burn off. Clayface can throw around Flag and Frankenstein.

Ratcatcher and Polkadot Man (Physically) - Human level
Harley Quinn - Street Level (Without the rest of the DCEU, killed a bunch of Corto Maltese soldiers with ease)
Starro (Eye) and Harley Quinn (Javelin) - Wall Level
Peacemaker, Rick Flag Jr., Vigilante, Bloodsport (Possibly, supposedly Peacemaker's equal, though the two never get into a physical confrontation), Harcourt, White Dragon, Judo Master - 30.81 Kilojoules (This'll be outdated soon given that Rick Flag Sr. in Peacemaker Season 2)
Rick Flag Sr., Doctor Phosphorus (Physically, appears to be holding back both physically and with firepower), Clayface - 866.8332 Kilojoules
Bride, Eric Frankenstein, Circe, Weasel, (probably Doctor Phosphorus since he's beefing with Weasel next episode) - 1999.52277 Kilojoules
Circe - 0.00222762471 Tons of TNT
Peacemaker (Strongest weaponry) - 0.013 tons of TNT
Bloodsport (Strongest weaponry) - Under 0.2918 Tons of TNT (Strong enough to catch Starro's attention despite it being bullet proof and can knock back King Shark
Starro, Polka-Dot Man, King Shark 0.2918 Tons of TNT
Doctor Phosphorus - 4.388475 Tons of TNT
I can't find the Blue Beetle stuff but I'm pretty sure he's above everyone else

I have it all, actually I'll try and finish his profile over the weekend, he's like 8-B regularly but the scarab full power is like 5-A

Bride, Eric Frankenstein, Circe, Weasel, (probably Doctor Phosphorus since he's beefing with Weasel next episode) - 1999.52277 Kilojoules
Didn’t Flag Sr. take a bunch of hits from Eric? I think he should downscale tbh. Clayface is definitely on that level too, since he completely wrecked Flag, something that Eric couldn’t accomplish.

Weasel bites through Phosphorus's arm pretty easily, with him only letting go due to the heat. Phosphorus melts through a stone wall, creating a large hole for he and his teammates, over the course of an unknown time period

Nina is easily overpowered by the much better trained Princess despite being underwater.

Gi Robot is rebuilt and Shark is apart of the Commandos now

Based on Phosphorus's statement, he became the way he was around 2008, meaning Batman has been active for quite sometime if we presume his crime spree was rather short lived

Can you tag or blur this post pls, its first thing in the morning for me and I'm at work, I frugged up and read a bit at a glance not knowing what the post was😭

Well, now that Season 1 is finished, here’s the plan @UchihaSlayer96 and I came up with to get the verse up and running on the wiki before Superman comes out.
  • Make profiles for the Creature Commandos cast, specifically:
    • Rick Flag, Sr.
    • The Bride
    • Doctor Phosphorus
    • G.I. Robot
    • Nina Mazursky
    • Weasel
    • Eric Frankenstein
    • Circe
  • Make a team profile for Task Force M
  • Revise the profiles for The Suicide Squad and make new ones for missing characters (i.e. Polka-Dot Man).
    • Harley and Flag would need new pages without anything from Suicide Squad (2016), although Harley’s should probably be kept in a sandbox until she appears/is referenced in a DCU project
  • Make a team profile for Task Force X
  • Revise the few Peacemaker profiles we have, and make new profiles for the rest of the 11th Street Kids (plus a team profile), White Dragon and anyone else that might be relevant.
  • Make profiles for Blue Beetle and OMAC.
Once all that’s done, the verse should be good to go and we can all focus on Superman when that time comes.

Can deal with Circe if that's ok, although she's probably scale from other characters anyway

Yeah, that’s perfectly fine, just make sure to post the sandbox in here so the rest of us can give feedback.

Saw this episode now, I'll say at least this was a pretty tame feat for phosphorus considering he was pretty obviously holding back trying to be stealthy and not blow right through it, maybe not worth doing really since it'd be like 9-B~9-A given the timeframe

DCU Timeline (Assuming certain pieces of DCEU canon still exist) -

Several thousands of years of ago: Khaji-Da crash lands on Earth at Chichen Itza during the Mayan Era. It's power is used throughout all of time but only on users that it selects
1880s: Eric Frankenstein is created
1831: The Bride is created where she is endlessly persuaded by Eric for nearly 200 years
1940s: WWII/Corto Maltese is ruled under a fascist ruling family, the Herreras
1943: Nana Reyes is born./G.I Robot is created to fight alongside ally troops against the Nazis
1945: WWII ends and G.I Robot is sent on a tour all the way up to the 60s/Nazi scientists escape to Corto Maltese where Jotunheim is built, acting as a prison and laboratory for scientists to study meta humans and extraterrestrial life.
1960s: G.I Robot falls into the hands of Will Magus who decides to study G.I after having taken interest in how advanced he was, both physically and his A.I. Magus throws in a few upgrades for G.I and uses his schematics as a baseline for future projects.
1967: John Economos is born
1981: Peacemaker is born
1990s: G.I is put on displays and places around from lab to lab across America before eventually ending up in a pawn shop/At some point Ratcatcher 2 is born
Early 1990s: Chistopher Smith, Peacemaker, accidentally kills his brother Keith
1990: U.S Astronauts find Starro in space and bring it to Earth for experimentation, with tests being conducted in Corlto Maltese
1991: Vigilante is born
1994: Superman is born (Jame Gunn states he was thirty)
1996: Princess Ilana Rostovic is born
2000s: A neo-nazi named Justin purchases G.I in order to make him apart of his vast collection of war memorabilia. He bonds with G.I a bit before foolishly deciding to bring him to a neo-nazi meeting, to which G.I slaughters all thirty-seven participants. G.I is arrested and trialed as a man
2001: Jaime Reyes is born
2005: Tyla DuBois is born
2006: Milgaro Reyes is born
2008: Wanting to cure cancer, Alexander Sartorius works with mob boss Rupert Thorne, but because he doesn't want his nuclear research going to foreign dictatorships, Alex messed with the numbers of the research he gave them. The mob eventually finds out and killl Sartorius's wife and kid before dragging him to his lab to take his actual research and kill him using his own invention. Alexander survives, becoming an irritated skeleton and goes on a killing spree, murdering all those that wronged him before taking over Throne's territory for himself. As Doctor Phosphorus, he presumably has a rather short lived time as the head of crime organization before Batman apprehends him.
2012: An incoming tsunami threatened the lives of the Amazons living on Themyscira, Circe predicted this would occur thanks to her clairvoyance and warned the inhabitants of this. Those that listened sought shelter and survived.
2016: After a somewhat long vigilante career, Peacemaker is apprehended by A.R.G.U.S and sentenced to 30 years in prison
2021: Herrera Family executed after a coup, Mateo Suarez and Silvio Luna take control for ten days/Events of The Suicide Squad
2022: Events of Peacemaker
2023: Events of Creature Commandos and Blue Beetle occur
2024: Events of Superman (Gunn said that it takes place only a few months after the events of Creature Commandos)

Things to note, Superman has been active at least prior to 2021, at least enough so build enough enemies to have someone want to assassinate him. Kryptonite is known well enough to be associated with Superman as his weakness. Batman has been active for at least two decades (Which makes sense given that he's going to have a son). Superheroes were common enough long enough for Abner Krill's mother to try and make her children into superheroes

He's right here

Honestly, Nina's death could've been avoided if they just let Phosphorus boil the water
I feel like it would’ve gone fine if Phosphorus just started torching people, honestly. It’s not like anyone would’ve actually been able to stop him lmao

Gotta say, even though I enjoyed the show for the most part that was a pretty weak ending episode imo.

Nina’s inclusion in the show given her death feels pretty pointless even though I liked her as a character. Her even being a part of the team seems weird when you consider that she’s never killed anyone and is in prison even though she never committed any crimes. Feels like she was included solely to be fridged and prop up the Bride.

Even with Suicide Squad (2016), Waller always seems to put an aquatic based character on the team. Makes sense here since Weasel and G.I Robot can't swim and Phosphorus is hella noticeable in the water. Waller probably wasn't sure what was entirely needed for the mission and wanted to account for every possible scenario. Nina is also generally the smartest person on the team (Phosphorus probably beats her in book smarts) and the most rational, besides Flag. Waller probably also figured that the team requires something to actually glue it together besides just the threat of punishment, G.I Robot and Bride got attached to Nina pretty quickly (Weasel isn't much of a worry since he gets along with everyone pretty well. Flag is just normal. And there's Phosphorus).

Her purpose in the show is very clearly just for Bride's character, which is sad because I liked Nina (She was really ******* hot). You're almost waiting for her to have her moment where she shines, but it never comes because she's designed just to die for character progression. It's also really disappointing that they bring back G.I Robot after having killed off Nina.
