DB to DBZ Re-Scalling thread

If Gohan’s full power is above Goku than Goku only partially surpassed Gohan, but didn’t surpass his full power. That’s not really the most logical conclusion, when you consider that his moment against Cell during the clash is the thing that’s hyped up the most.
If Goku's average power is above Gohan's, and Goku's Kamehameha is also above Gohan's, then how didn't Goku surpass him? He definitely did. When a statement is as vague as this, we usually default to the safest assumption that logically holds, which in this case happens to be that 'Goku > Gohan, Goku's Kamehameha > Gohan's Kamehameha'.

Is that instance of Gohan's strongest attack something that Vegeta references in the statement for it to have to mean that? No

The Kamehameha at full capacity is ABOVE Gohan's own Full Power, as it is a massive amp to begin with, that is the whole basis of this thread

No, because Goku's full power would still be above Gohan's full power too.
I didn’t say he wouldn’t? I’m just saying that Goku when he transforms into SSJ2 is above Gohan’s full power too.

Goku did surpass him, I was responding to what Damage was saying that the statement wasn’t referring to Gohan’s full power. The statement isn’t really vague it’s talking about Gohan’s power from back then. Gohan when he’s using his FS kamehameha is referred to as his full power. So I don’t see why this wouldn’t just be referring to Goku (initital ssj2 transformation) > Gohan (from back then FP)

No? Gohan’s kamehameha is stated to be his full power and his strongest power.
We're referring to different things. There's Gohan's full power (i.e. when he's transformed into his most powerful state, SSJ2) then he can amplify his output even than normal with the Kamehameha (which can also be considered his full power also because it's his most powerful attack).

When Vegeta fought Goku, he was using his full power against him.... but his self-sacrificial attack against Buu was an even higher level of output than what he used against Goku. So there's "full power" and then there's "full power".

What does the statement actually says? Cuz being his "strongest attack" is already covered as, yeah, that is the point of a full powered Kamehameha

If it is something like "he unleashed all his power/his full power to launch the kamehameha" then nothing on this would imply it is part of his avarage/normal stats physically

Gohan’s attack is referred to as his full power and him unleashing his strongest power. Goku wasn’t using his full power against Vegeta, he was still holding back against him. He was exerting effort in SSJ2 though, but he’s never stated to use his full power against Vegeta in the sense that he was charging up and putting everything into his attack to beat Vegeta. Gohan’s full power would still be apart of his power, and Goku is stated to surpass the power Gohan used at that time.

So Goku was fighting Vegeta at full power (for an SSJ2 at least) and we still know he is capable of higher outputs with the Kamehameha.

If you remain unconvinced, then I'm fine just to agree to disagree and let the staff votes decide it.

(Ngl agreeing to disagree is a lot worse when the debate is with a staff member because... your vote has power)
