Do note that this Dante's fear hax works on those resistent to madness manipulation type 3, mind manipulation and fear manipulation.

But I heard Archic Sonic is a beast so I don't know if that matters.

Well...not really. He resists it from a 2-A, but not on a 2-A level. Very very few characters have/resist mindhax on a 2-A level, because that requires the mindhaxing of an infinite amount of 4-D beings or something like that.
