Standard Battle Assumptions

Both at their most powerful, no restrictions (except Goku can't summon Zeno, and UI has no time-limit), victory via Death. Kassadin is scaled to his normal human size.

Who wins?:

Kassadi: 9 (SchroKatze, Heilergott, The real cal howard, Stryk3r1337, WeeklyBattles, Rocker1189, TurboTriangle601, KinkiestSins, AssaultWaffle)

Son Goku: 5?

Cosmic Reaver Kassadin

Goku should take this via instinctive reactions, IT, flight, being able to adapt quickly in battle, sensing, homing attacks, not using magic, which renders a couple of Kassadin's abilities useless against Goku, sensing, and afterimages.

Null sphere is a homing attack.

Force Pulse and Riftwalk have AoE explosions.

Also, don't energy based attacks end up being considered magical in verse equalization, or naw?

Null Sphere and Riftwalk seal his victory. All he really needs to do is teleport around and win. Also, iirc, ranged ki attacks like Goku's Kamehameha count as magical damage.

Also, Null Sphere negs attacks that needs charging time or continuous attacks (Like Kamehameha)

In that case, definitely Kassadin. He can't predict Kassadin's damaging teleports, and the Nether Blade, while also being more useful as a close combat weapon than what Goku has (which is nothing), also does wonders to boost him back up.

And the more ki blasts Goku releases, the more powerfull his Force Pulse will be. (He absorbs energy of techniques that aren't just pure physical punches/attacks and etc)

@Dragon - Hmm? Kassadin merely takes 15% reduced damage from magical attacks. "higher" on his profile doesn't suggest he has 2-C Dura vs magic, it's merely a fair amount higher than his standard durability.

I'm not voting yet, but I can hardly see a way that Goku could win. Maybe if Goku were bloodlusted, he'd stand a chance?

+Power Null + Absorption + Teleportation + Reduction of Ki power makes this very much a mismatch.

@schro Goku has fought people who have energy absorbing capabilities, and has won in those fights. This is nothing new to goku.

Wait, why is KI considered to be Magic here when Magic is something else in Dragon Ball?

Are you referring to Android 19? Because Kassadin is way way way way way stronger than A19 and has a lot more powers.

@Glass, Kass converts all the energy he absorbs into more power to his Force Pulse. A bunch of Low 2-C attacks from Goku being converted into one AoE attack against him.

When, exactly?

I only recall 19 being able to do that out of all of Goku's opponents and even then, Goku lost (Yes he was weakened by the heart virus but still).

@Poinciana. Because magic and energy attacks go hand in hand in LoL, I think.

Btw, how Goku can win:

Punch him 'til he dies. He has the AP advantage after all. Heck, this isn't even decisive.

Cal is right. Goku has the AP advantage to kill Kass in a few hits.

But if Goku decides to use his energy/ki based attacks, Kass will eventually have energy to one-shot Goku

"Can punch him"

The guy has damaging teleport making CQC a nope. AP advantage is not enough to make something not a stomp.

UI Goku doesn't really use KI attacks though.

He used a Kamehameha only after his punches didn't work against Kefla.

@Glass Unlike Bergamo, Kassadin absorbs the energy passively in an area around him. He does not even have to be hit.

@schro and what's stopping goku from just using his hand to hand skills? Goku will find out that he can absorb energy, and he'll just not try to use energy based attacks.

So uh... who is voting for who? LOL

@Dragon - This would be a mismatch if Kassadin was immune to everything Goku threw at him, and countered his fighting style due to some specialized ability, making Goku's chances of victory 0%. Goku can still harm and even kill Kassadin with his AP even when taking damage mitigation into account. Kamehameha is Goku's only channeling ability (and I guess... Instant Transmission?)

I disagree with that definition of mismatch. If this is a character who can not only power himself up via absorbing said energy, but along with his own power. Can teleport away from any CQC. Higher AP is worthless if you can't hit your opponent. Goku has more abilities aside from Kamehameha, but they'll just be absorbed, powering Kass up. Goku's chances here are extremely close to Zero. This includes Power Null. This isnt some win based off of characters either. This is a win based off the opponent doing all he can do and yet it eventually is useless. Not to mention UI is on a time limit and Goku has not mastered it. This to me makes it a mismatch.

absorbing the energy? He takes damage from it despite gaining power for Force Pulse. Kassadin isn't nullifying Goku's ki blasts.

Kassadin's Power Null only works on attacks that require a channeling effect, or are continuous.

Oh, I did not think we used the UI time limit. May I remove said time-restriction?

You don't need to hit Kassadin to take power and charge Force Pulse. Kassadin can be completely unharmed and still charge it all the way.

While also gaining power to his FP trough his own TP. Even abilities that have no offensive power will give him a charge

@Assault - All I really meant was that if Goku hits him with ki blasts for example, Kassadin still takes damage. I know that nearby abilities charge Kassadin's Force Pulse despite not connecting.
