Sugar Daddy Derek was about to sit outside to enjoy the nice weather until he saw a honey badger eating his spaghetti tacos, so he asked Cool Cat to go deal with it

Cool Cat can use one of his signs to impale the badger and run the sign through the badger and into the ground. Honey badger survives, but can't move. It either bleeds out and dies or gets incapped.

Well, Cool Cat himself doesn't have guns. Derek does, though, and they're fighting in front of his house (although, if given preparation, he would likely prepare in Derek's house considering he lives there)

Smoke, just because Derek Savage has guns doesn't mean Cool Cat does. Don't mix real life with fiction.

In the movie, he also has a gun in his backyard (which Butch steals), which presumably belongs to him. Cool Cat also appears in Gun Safety for Women, in which Derek uses multiple firearms.

That doesn't mean Derek doesn't have them. It just means Cool Cat didn't know there was one in his backyard.
