The tree's peak conditions means Avdol isn't at his peak so neutral is best for both.

I'm honestly surprised people are using toxins as a reason, the toxins doesn't instantly kill, harm yeah but that actually goes against the tree, Avdol will realise almost right away and Avdol ain't gonna get right up to the tree to destroy them after the first one he figures it out. Plus he can just burn the roots.

the toxins aren't letal, they just cause pain, the only thing letal is the fruits and for the smokes, he puts a pice of cloth over his face and cleates a hole with the flames to hide and just burn to ashes all the trees

Like others have said, I love how people keep assuming the toxins are like Purple Haze, where they dissolve and eat people up within seconds.
The toxins aren't going to kill Avdol promptly. He'll still have plenty of time to burn the tree from the inside, or melt the base and roots to topple it over long before the fumes can put him in any terminal condition.
