@Dragon I believe we should also leave a note to prevent contradictory evolutions (Like Lucemon for Demon).
And also make it clear that this is only valid for Digimon that we do not see evolutionary history. In the case of for example the characters of the anime or characters of the games (like those of Re: Digitize where we know the evolutionary lines that personages like Nikko followed) we should consider only those that we see in history.

Well, we have those who know the evolutionary line.
Yuuko = RizeGreymon> Gaioumon
Sarada = Keramon> Chrysalimon> Infermon> Diablomon
Nokia = Agumon and Gabumon> WarGreymon + MetalGarurumon> Omegamon
Whereas the main character is the player, and we must follow through multiple evolutionary lines. So I see no problem in considering the rules of multiple lines for the protagonists.
But again, this should only be valid if we do not know the evolutionary line that followed the character.

Since this is going to be "adding Digimon skills" do you think it would be a good idea to introduce the idea of Load (fully Absorb a Digimon) to ensure the powers of that Digimon? I can show the arguments for this on your wall.
