Background: After cultivating in the Sun, Zhong Yue decides to return on his planet but because of a miss-calculation the teleporter formation malfunctioned and he arrived on the Uchiha Hideout (Sasuke vs Itachi shutdown area). Sensing a lifeform within it, our local cultivator enters and find a throne with someone staying on it. Because of Zhong Yue's sudden appearance and his Fuxi' bloodline, Itachi thinks he's some host body for Orochimaru or even Orochimaru himself thus they fight.

But seriously they would likely just talk since they are pretty similar. Wouldn't be surprised if ZY try to treat Itachi's illness

Normal rules and not speed equal but if needed sure (not likely).

Zhong Yue's main set is analytical prediction, instinctive reaction, absorption of all kinds of energies and creation of flying swords made of the energy absorbed in tens of thousands, visualizing any phenomena his mind can comprehend. While his starting move in this key is the Mangu's Roar art, so a soundwave that will power null, prevent one from thinking, and disintegration of the body/soul (yuanshen which is an abstract entity), so, not even such beings can ignore it. Plus, even if he somehow can't attack, his two Spirits can do it for him which are abstract entities themselves, thus not many can interact with them.

Because Itachis starting move is always thought/gesture based mindhax

He has 3 layers of mine manipulation. 2 being layers that resisted to mind hax that can affect the Yuanshen (soul/spirit) plus body. Then he has one layer of illusion creation resistence which inverse is immunity thanks to the Fuxi Third eye that grants him the ability to see the truth of the world and essence of dao tottems (whats forms all things inverse).

Yuanshen is an abstract being so Itachi won't be able to affect it from my knowledge thus ZY can fight even under layers and layers of such powers as he doesn't need a body or mind to fight as his Spirits can use his powers for himself plus his instinctive reaction is layered that he will use arts without thinking be it offensive or defensive.
