Chapter 1032 is out and King has displayed new abilities again:

His Tempura Udon attack:
  • Body Control: self explanatory.
  • Durability negation: Zoro comments that the attack is similar to beam attacks because it can't be defended.
  • Minor Elasticity: his face stretches backwards and then launches forward and back similar to Luffy's gomu gomu no kane attack.
Proficient Armament Haki:
  • King's displayed proficient armament haki usage since his he can his blade with koka, so his haki description in the notable attacks and techniques and powers and abilities sections need to be updated.

I agree with the OP except Durability Negation. That just looks like an attack stronger than what Zoro can defend.

Also, agree with Damage about waiting till the official release.

Ehh I disagree, Zoro has blocked stronger attacks in general and regular attacks from king. I don’t think this attack king used surpasses kaidos attacks or big moms. not to mention Zoros blade durability while infused with haki has shown to be damn near unbreakable.

Of course the official translation matter but wouldn’t it be better just to see if oda uses Beam in the Raw Kanji?

Yeah we saw a few chapters ago that Zoro could block and deflect attacks from King in Full Zoan form, it's not impossible for King to overpower Zoro as we've seen that but in all those cases he still defended himself with his swords. So for this attack to overpower him and be undefendable with this form seems unlikely if it's just due to pure force.

Plus there's the way he said it comparing it to beams.

An attack being "too strong for Zoro to block" implies it's stronger than even Ocean Sovereignty, which is definitely not the case. It's likely some form of intangible attack if anything.

But I do agree with Damage for now. If the official translations keep the implication of it being an unblockable attack, then it's likely a dura negation/Intangible attack.

The phrasing itself is "I can't block it" not "It's too much to block". We've seen his swords at the very least slow down even stronger attacks. If it isn't dura negation, it's at the very least an intangible attack.. But that wouldn't make sense because it's only intangible to defense? That or Lunarians have a Goken like ability where they can choose what to hit, which is a BIG reach for now.
He blocked wing projectiles, and Kaido's invisible breath attacks, and the dual-yonko wave- there's no reason he shouldn't be able to block this, unless it's basically untouchable. Unless the technique was a blitz?

Zoro didn’t say “It can’t be blocked” he says “He couldn’t block it”

Also, durability negation combine the fact Zoro tried to block it, means Zoro would’ve had a hole in his body

Wouldn't that same logic apply to every Luffy Ryou attack? They're all dura neg but no one got a hole blown in them. (Even though Luffy did that to a tree before onigashima)

I’m not familiar on those. 😅

From my perspective on the context, King was simply using a technique that was faster or stronger than what Zoro was expecting due to King’s elastic body technique.

when he said "I couldn't block it" it was question, showing he didn't know why the attack wasn't blocked (Which is expected because we see zoro put up his swords to block it) then he specifically said the attack is like a beam.

This isn't just a standard case of overpowering someone with brute force, we've seen King in this fight overpower Zoro when he's blocking and it sends him flying back and even damages him, but he never questions it like he did here or compare it to something else.

I mean, that is questionable for it to mean it’s Hax by Zoro being perplex.

The logic behind doesn’t seem viable, since we could use that logic to also have King’s comment about his attack of that’s how pterodactyls fight could mean pterodactyls fight with durability negation. Which is a stretch :V

Along with the dialogue of him confused about why he couldn't block it I'm proposing durability negation due to it being compared to a beam by Zoro, which in verse are common and negate durability.

This is a natural ability of pteradon's in the verse so if this is durability negation then pteradon's in the verse would have that as well, it's a running gag during the arc where Dinosaur's have weird abilities that they definitely don't have in real life:

I agree with everything here except dura neg. I don't know what to classify that attack as, could be a special ability, could even be sheer speed for all we know. But regardless, I think it's too weird to narrow down into one thing, at least right now.

It's possible Zoro is comparing it in terms of speed and it's too much/too fast for him to block.

I still agree with everything else in the OP except durability negation.

If it's speed then it makes no sense since he dodged danmaku from Queen.

Makes more sense for it to be dura neg
Lasers are "durability negation" for a specific reason. King's weird headbutt isn't like that.

Unless we get a further elaboration on what Zoro means, I don't see Durability Negation applying here.

Yeah reading the official made me think that as well, in which case what about Speed Boost instead and we can put "higher attack speed with Imperial Deep pride" in the speed section.
If it's speed then it makes no sense since he dodged danmaku from Queen.
This was my initial thoughts on it not being due to speed but in realization it could just be a point of comparison, like saying something is "as fast a bullet" or whatever just to say something is fast even if technically the attack is faster than any bullet.
