Chakra in Naruto-Verse and How it relates to AP.

I'm making this thread because for some reason, people still think that Jutsu in Naruto doesn't scale to their AP or Physical capabilities when that is truly false. There are only a few instances in which Jutsu wouldn't scale and that's in unquantifiable situations such as Genjutsu and such.

In Naruto, your Chakra Quantity is determined by your stamina. When you mold Chakra you're using your stamina and vise versa. They are married like Science and Math.

Here, Kishi explains Chakra Control through, Ebisu:













What we know after this overall:

• Chakra is dependant on Stamina

• Using either deplenishes the overall tank for both

• Taijutsu is dependant on Stamina

• All Ninjutsu/Genjutsu Require a certain amount of Chakra to use.

Now, as we know, Chakra can be used to increase stats:

So as you can see, the physical Body in Naruto can be amped by chakra in many ways and anyone can do it honestly. The percenage of chakra used for Ninjutsu "can" scale to AP. The best example I can think of right now that demonstrates this is Naruo vs Toneri where in the movie, Toneri's TSB Shield tanks Naruto's Rasenshuriken/Rasengan Barrage, Broken by an Odama Rasengan by Naruto that Toneri Tanked and One shotted Toneri with a Chakra punch.

Chakra Punch > Toneri's Durability > Odama Rasengan > TSB Shield > Rasengan Barrage/FRS.

Going by what's stated in Manga, the percentage of Chakra Naruto used would have to be higher each attack and those attack would scale to his physical AP when Amped by Chakra. As shown, a person with sufficient skill can amp their physical strength with chakra to be equal or superior to their Ninjutsu. So bottom line, yes, Ninjutsu "can" scale to AP. The reason I'm saying "Can" is because, while this mechanic exists in Naruto and Chatracters have the skill to do such of things, they don't. It's not that they can't, just they don't.

There are also different forms of chakra amping in Naruto, but I'll get into that another day and another thread.

Here's a question that might relate to this thread: Remember the scene where Toneri expels - most - of Naruto's chakra when he kidnaps Hinata and the huge crater it left behind? Well, that pure non-manipulated chakra that wasn't formed with shape or nature transformation. Can we assume that had Naruto used that same amount of Chakra to form something like a rasengan, the destruction would have been greater? Think about it; that little ball of chakra caused a massive crater, which was impressive , but even more impressive is it also knocked Naruto out. This is the same dude that was performing all kinds of crazy attacks and tanking crazy attacks on the moon with at least half of Kurama outside of his body.

Is true, they don't do it enough through the story. Only in rare cases, that's why Kunai's and Swords are affected againts their durability. Glass canons and such.

You make a believable argument, and I for one believed such to be true from the very beginning, for the most part. Didn't know that there are others who don't see it that way though.

Raw chakra does less damage than refined technique, that's pretty much fact. It's the reason why the likes of Kakashi, who has crap amount of chakra can damage people with vastly higher amounts that they can use to amp durability.

Chakra-based attack damage can be pretty much defined by 3 things: volume, control and potency.

• Chakra volume is pretty self-explanatory, the amount a user has. It's pretty much the ninja equivalent of MOAR DAKKA!, just look at Naruto spamming Kagebunshin in every fight. This is highlighted in nearly every fight involving Kakashi and how he has relatively low amounts.

• Chakra control is about the finesse of the user and how well he can manage his chakra. E.g. Kakashi has, as said prior, relatively low chakra for most of the manga but he does a lot because he has really good control. This is highlighted in the tree-climbing and water-walking exercises where too little will drop you and too much will shoot you off, also, the Rasengan learning stage with the rubber balls and balloons.

• Chakra potency is about the quality of it. Kakashi was stated to be someone of great chakra potency, likely hence his great piercing power when using Chidori/Raikiri. It's highlighted in... actually, idk. Iirc, when Kakashi first used Chidori (first appearance in the manga, not chronologically) against Zabuza where he can manifest his chakra as a ball of lightning, but then again, that was just Kishi ******** us as its a Raiton jutsu, of course it will manifest as lightning. Maybe Hatake Sakumo and his white light chakra saber since I don't remember anyone else having a glowing weapon sans Sasuke and his Chidori-amped Chokuto but that's Raiton. Beyond those, Rikudo chakra is bullshit strong.

@Gemmysaur, IIRC Asuma was the only one to use Chakra blades, however, if we expand the definition of what chakra blades are wouldn't the swords of the seven swordsmen of the mist be considered chakra weapon?

For example, would we scale AP off Amaterasu? Or Genjutsu? No. No matter how large scale they are, they're still hax abilities and cannot be directly correlated to AP. We'd have to be extremely specific about this to avoid inconsistencies.

In addition, Chakra Volume and Potency does not always correlate to attack power. Lee has crappy chakra control and reserves but still managed to blitz and hurt Gaara, a Jinchuuruki.

Probably, yes. Though, while chakra weapons themselves aren't as common as regular ones, even regular kunai can be amped, though to a lesser extent as it isn't specialized.

@Heatforce, not true. Anyone with Wind Nature or Lightning Nature (And pure chakra in general) can as shown with Kakashi, KB, Sasuke, Asuma and Naruto. It just relies on skill.

Chakra does not always equal to AP. You need to have excellent chakra control as well. That's why jinchuriki > biju despite having same amount of chakra.

Well like I said, we can't scale it off things that are unquantifiable. Amaturatsu, CT (When they are tossed around), I mentioned Genjutsu already, etc. This should be obvious already which is why I glazed over it.

And having more Chakra doesn't mean anything. All it means is that you have the "potential" for grander showings. A person with More Skill will trump a person with vastly lesser skill and more power (Except in Certain Circumstances). Rock Lee Blitzing and Hurting Gaara doesn't change anything. Lee trained his body to be as strong as it was/is. Gaara at the time just didn't have the skill in Taijutsu or Chakra Control to adequately deal with Lee. That's not to say current Gaara with his experience and skill wouldn't be able to easily deal with that lee. Gaara now would stomp Lee back then simply based on his skill. It's because of his skill that he has more durable abilities, Faster attacks, etc. That goes for everyone.

Genin - Jonin is based on Skill, not chakra quatity. It's just that when it comes to AP, Chakra quantitiy can make a person stronger if they have the skill. As shown, Naruto with Skill >= Minato and Kushina's can Make a fist loaded with chakra superior to even his FRS intems of Raw power.

You Obvioulsy can't scale from Hax abilities like TSB or what have you.

So @Reppuzan, I agree with you, you can't scale from certain abilities or Hax. Biut that was stated above already.
