Chainsaw Man discussion thread

Possibly something you're feeling due to the weekly experience, I think. The anticlimax is good because it serves both the plot and themes of Chainsaw Man while remaining true to the characters, rather than contradicting these parts of the story. That's what I want from a manga: interesting writing. Your boredom is a subjective experience just like our enjoyment is, and it may just mean Chainsaw Man isn't for you.

I fully agree with Zab. If you're looking for action packed fights spanning multiple chapters, Chainsaw Man isn't the manga you're looking for. Fujimoto will always prioritize storytelling over lengthy, drawn out battles. And that's pretty evident, I'm not sure what the latter was expecting.

I'm not going to be hypocritical, because I do enjoy fights spanning multiple chapters and cool sequences more. But, I don't mind the fights being more plot focused.

You will get what your looking for in the upcoming movie and likely the seasons after that. If your not satisfied with reading weekly then just don't do it.

Edit: It's also very funny considering this was the same reaction, this specific group of people had just a few chapters before Pochita Awakened, thinking the manga was headed to a "sub-plot".

I actually like knowing what a character scales to without having to spend unnecessary time going through the slog that is a verse page and clicking through multiple profiles ❤️

You have misunderstood. I'm saying I prefer
Attack Potency: Whatever level[Note1] (Slop)
over
Attack Potency: Whatever level (Slop[Note1])

Also, Old Age Devil WIP, but I'd prefer if the speed and AP upgrades were made before its page. New profiles don't need a CRT if below Tier 1 remember.
Renders if you need them:

On a completely unrelated note: actually fck rendering on black backgrounds. Actually some herculean crap you would see Fujimoto put Denji through.

Very nice! Added them both to the sandbox.
I still find that mountain level dura Old Age seems off... Because of the reason below:

1: Pochita can hurt Old Age easily
2: Pochita's same chainsaw could hardly tank Yoru's normal bang
3: Pochita and all of his chainsaws got nuked instantly, leaving only his upper half left, badly damaged with Gun Goddess

The thing about Old Age thinking that Yoru was stupid to think that thing could kill it is because it could just heal back anyways + the unknown timestop hax that condition we haven't truly understand yet, maybe that thing just activates whenever Old Age's is in danger of a strong attack (therefore it could not be killed that way). Things like that could happen instead.

So I think Old Age's Dura should only be upscaled from something else rather can directly scaling to Yoru's bullet.

Now that I think about it, we know through this arc that Pochita's stomach is kind of a pocket dimension, and we also know the existence of Aging's world, so theory time:
1: Aging's world and Pochita's pocket dimension are 2 of the same kind of power
2: We knows Pochita actually doesn't completely erases things completely but rather "erasing them from existence itself"

So basically Pochita's power is actually to separate the devils from the world, thus making it so that the concepts that the Devils embody don't exist in said world anymore, thus making them not being able to influence the world. So does this mean that the devils are tangible conceptual beings themselves?

The AP triangle of Yoru - Old Age - Pochita is none of my business. Stats ain't my job.
Obviously Pochita's chainsaws just have City level durability but Mountain level piercing damage. I say that jokingly, as even just scaling the saws higher wouldn't work since Pochita was also able to tear Aging in half with his bare hands, no saws required.

Again about Pochita tearing Aging in half with his bare hands, I don't remember (I checked twice again) that it happened. If you're referring to chapter 187 when Pochita seems to be tearing Aging in that double-page with his sheer physical power alone, then I must add that Pochita already was dismembering Aging 1 page ago. Here's my interpretation of what I saw in the pic:

Eh, just my interpretation, makes more senses tbh (well, unless you're referring to a different panel then eh)

Do you think this Asa profile looks good enough already? https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...venotify=created#Post-Chainsaw_Man_Church_Arc
