@Darkanine: Responded to your calcs. Most of them look okay, although for Q = MC(Delta Temp), by going from 6000 to 1538 degrees celsius, you are actually cooling it down.
Don't think the Earth's core would melt if you cool it down that much. Earth's core is solid due to fact that there's so much pressure inside the Earth anyways.
