This will be quick and dirty because I had believed the consent is as straightforward as it could be in regards to Tendou Aris' tier 2-A with Ark of Atrahasis and the Blue Archive universe in general. But it seems like I'm wrong, so here we are. Yes, much of this will be based off of stuff from All Fiction Battles which is technically a sister site, anyways, but at the moment, I found no better place to based the sources off of:
First off, this is the conversation referring to the Multidimensional Barrier, specifically from Volume F, Chapter 3, Episode 3
There's the usage of many-worlds interpretation as well as at least blatant straightup implication, if not outright mentioning, of "infinite dimensions", especially with the last part in Himari's dialogue:
"The sanctums can be recreated as many times as the infinite number of dimensions that exist in the universe... Is that right?"
In regards to the claim that Himari is only going in line with the "quilted multiverse theory" (which I still find confusing), that's already addressed by the many-worlds interpretation from before, particularly with the exchange between Ako and Ayane.
There's some continuation of that previous conversation.
This lines up with the ideas of infinite dimensional vector space and Hilbert space. Additionally, the many-worlds interpretation theory utilizes both of those ideas as a basis:
"Hilbert space is the mathematical space associated with the quantum wave function. It is an abstract representation of all possible states of a system. It’s a bit like regular Euclidean space, but with a variable number of dimensions depending on how many states the system is allowed to have. A qubit (quantum bit)—the fundamental data unit in quantum computers, which can be either ‘0’ or ‘1’ or some combination thereof—has a two-dimensional Hilbert space. A continuous quantity such as position or velocity corresponds to an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space."
Now look at this exchange with Rio and Kei in the recent Decagrammaton chapters, set after the events of Vol F.
Based on this, Blue Archive is using the idea of wave function collapse, which of course is crucially tied to quantum physics and that information is the primary basis of reality:
"'It doesn’t matter whether something consists of equations, words, images or sounds—you can encode any of that in strings of zeroes and ones,” or bits, says Scott Aaronson, associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science at MIT. Your computer is doing it right now, using tiny magnets, capacitors, and transistors to store billions or trillions of binary digits. “These might have been hard concepts for people to understand a century ago, but because of the computer revolution, we deal with these concepts all the time,' says Aaronson. In an age when a USB drive dangles from every keychain and an iPhone strains the seams of every pocket, it isn’t such a leap to agree that anything can be expressed in information.
To some theorists, though, information is more than just a description of our universe and the stuff in it: it is the most basic currency of existence, occupying what theorist Paul Davies terms the “ontological basement” of reality."
Examples of such:
As for any counterargument for qualitativeness of infinite multidimensionality, there's this clear cut indication of dimensional axes being used here as well.
Basically higher dimensions and higher axes equivalent to higher infinites. The aforementioned scene indicates that a 4-D plane at the very least is in play, which should line up with the qualifications of Tier 2.
THE ULTIMATE TAKEAWAY:
The Multidimensional Barrier by itself that Aris was able to affect and damage with her powers is very bluntly 2-A AT THE VERY LEAST, and cannot be blown off as a case of "only multiversal range". It's as straightforward as it can get. Now as for possible further probing for Low 1-C or higher, I will leave that alone personally for now, because I feel like more context is needed given how stricter the qualifications are for those, from what I'm told.
A little additional stuff jic:
There's the confirmation that the Ark of Atrahasis controlled by the Chroma and the one actively created by Aris are technically one and the same existence, not a copy or clone. That means Aris' miraculous feat isn't "multiversal range" or an outliner. As for the specifications of what kind of reality manipulation this is, I'm admittedly still contemplating this for now.
From a scene from a different timeline, it is heavily implied that Aris can have access to at least most of the abilities of the first Ark.
Here's the current timeline's Ark for comparison. Practically the exact same thing, right?
