Because the one who wrote JTTW didn’t approve or work in the game/verse
It’s completely separate story aswell, the novel tho should be useable to clear things up, as in what the text actually mean

completely separate? it's literally a sequel to JTTW though... it starts after he retires from being the victorious fighting buddha...and don't get me started on the villains... oh yeah I almost forgot the chapter 6 animated cutscene, which depicts events which happened during JTTW.

Can't, unfortunately technology is just not there. However maybe we can hire a shaman or do some ritual to communicate with their dead spirit and see if they think it should be canon to their novel
