Without fear manipulation resistance and paralysis resistance, yes, AO can be paralyzed and fear haxed
 
Doesn't paralysis come from fear? Fearhax is category of mindhax. It affects your mins. You can be paralyzed by fear.

Paralysis from the aura comes from the pressure exerted on the individual's soul. It physically prevents movement, the person is basically locked in place (it's the same thing that just straight up kills people, but it only kills if they don't have or barely have SMR).Only the fear is induced in a mind hax type of way

Depending on his SMR, while instant death may not result, paralysis may still persist (Ichigo vs Kenpachi, Aizen and Ichigo's friends)
 
Early Ichigo's and his friends soulhax resistance was pretty shitty tbh. Ashen is a chad and can survive attack straight up affecting souls.

Early Ichigo and Early Kenpachi were in the same tier, and he was still affected
 
Same tier? In base, not even close. Maybe Zangetsu powers was same tier but not Ichigo himself. Ichigo was running like a pansy during half of this fight until Zangetsu gave him his power

They were both Mountain when Ichigo had to amp even higher
 
Even if, their reiatsu definitely wasn't the same tier. Though Ichigo was paralyzed mainly because he realized that he's facing a captain and Yoruichi told him that he has to run for his life when he sees one. Not mentioning that Ikkaku told Ichigo some stuff about Kenny that he's like, most powerful captain.

No, it's very clear that aura was what caused paralysis, but the gap has to be bigger than the gap between Byakuya and AO, so paralysis would only be with Rikujokoro
 
Later Kenpachi removed his eyepatch that sealed his spiritual power and Ichigo, whilst not paralyzed was heavily scared of him

Because the aura still has fear manipulation. The order of affect is instant death, with enough resistance it bumps down to paralysis, and then to fear

Right, when Ken took off the eyepatch, Ichigo just kept getting more energy from Zangetsu until he surpassed him, block all ill effects

If it's about who uses what first, Byakuya would use Rikujokoro first, it's in character for him to use it even in a situation where it's not necessary

The only two problems: AO would need to know Byakuya uses magic. That problem is easily solved by Byakuya not starting with Rikujokoro, allowing AO to see Shikai, Bankai, and other Kido

Second problem, the biggest problem, VoS only lasts 15 seconds, slightly longer with DC Ring
