No it's Bleach for sure lmao

Plus some people treat Boruto and Naruto as the same, so that makes it worse

That also means an entire third of the Shinigami fighting force was annihilated by the Wandenreich in 7 minutes, that's insane

What are the arguments for the TYBW anime arc being canon? I don't see why it overrides the manga's canon.
Kubo’s repeatedly stated to have been working with and advising every aspect of the anime for its entire pre production and production. It hasn’t retconned anything, it’s just streamlined the arc, and I doubt it will contradict or retcon anything anyway.

I will say the anime extending fights does well for scaling. Like the As Nodt fight better portrays that As Nodt’s blut is capable of blocking Byakuya’s Shikai, and the first time As Nodt had simply underestimated Byakuya the first time when his hand got cut but later face tanks with his eye. And we see Cang Du physically overpower Toshiro, BG9 no sell Soifon’s Shikai, and Bambi gets an extended clash with Sajin.

Also, the anime seemingly better portrays Ichigo dominating Quilge. At least to my memory Quilge didn’t get as bloodied in the manga as anime.

But these small extensions are nice since so many Sternritter don’t get much limelight.

Where did Kubo state these, Klub Outside or some interviews? I feel his statements if true are being overblown to make the anime canon.

He said in the interview with Viz that he's "involved with every step of the process"

Though even if that were true, I don't see why it makes the anime more canon than the manga, as no matter how involved he is with the anime, it pales in comparison to the absolute total control he has over the manga. There's also the fact that he said in that same interview that he sends ideas to the staff team and thinks/hopes they'll make good use of it, clearly indicating that he's not really in control when it comes to the anime.

I personally think the anime should be semi-canon, just not more than the manga.

What's your source on that
Klub outside:
Q286:
Is the reason for Uryu not getting affected by Auswählen related to his grandfather?
A286:
The development behind this plot point is a little complicated, but there's a chance it might get revealed in the anime version of the Thousand Year Blood War arc. (Depends on how they approach it

More proof that Kubo isn't actually in control of the anime 😐

Any Basis for Lille Regeneration Negation?
Nanao is walking around with a walking stick after the Lille fight

Is there a problem with adding information to fights/characters using the anime when it doesn't change the context and the final result? If not, I don't see any point in this discussion.

No Kubo himself said he’d be the one in charge of the fight additions and plot additions, the added context to the fight scenes are 100% valid.

Depends on what the changes are and whether or not they're retcons/contradictions

As said before, extending fights/showing off-screen fights are fine in my opinion

But changing crucial details aren't

Did Roberts Grimaniel look more like Teleporting in the Anime for you guys?
It did to me yes, hopefully his Schrift is explained.

Though it would be a little disappointing if it's just teleporting imo, as one of Lille's many abilities is teleportation...so for a designated Schrift to just do that would be underwhelming.

Someone theorized that his schrift is the Navigation, and that allows him to navigate (teleport) into the optimal position to take advantage of his opponents weaknesses and blind spots (took advantage of Shunsui). Kinda like a teleporting aimbot.

Nope we all agree on this, we were just talking if hypothetically the anime changed a fight/ retconned an event from the manga, for example if Lille didn't survive from shunsui's bankai and died

I really think the only fight that has a chance of that happening is Gerad's, the way he died for example. Another situation is about the explanation of Ishida's arrow and for sure the final fight will be better worked out, not only in the sense of extension but in the use of the powers of each participant.

I doubt they'd alter a fight so drastically that it cuts out character development aka with Shunsui and Nanao.

From what has been added so far its more like extended clashes. Byakuya slammed Senbon into As's head, Sajin and Bambi having extra clashes, Renji wrapping As in his Shikai, SoiFon attempting to stab BG9, Cang Du ramming Toshiro with his Iron. The overall content of the fights remained the same, Sternritter overwhelming the Captains in their Shikai leading to them using Bankai and having it stolen, the anime just extended the fights.

The only fights I can see getting some major additions is maybe V2 KCM Gerard fight and the Uryu vs Jugram fight, since those had a lot of off screen moments. Maybe the final fight will get extended, but Kubo has said he ended the series how he wanted to, so idk if Ichigo vs Yhwach will change all that drastically.

iirc the TYBW was rushed in the manga by WSJ and never got to be exactly what Kubo wanted. While it was his manga he didn't have absolute control like you're thinking. The anime adaptation is him getting a chance to reflect and add to scenes when he was never given the chance to before if anything he has more creative freedom now without Shounen Jump breathing down his neck.

You're wrong on that, there's no real proof whatsoever that Kubo was rushed by WSJ, a lot of people like to claim Kubo rushed it himself because of poor health, but even that is just mostly conjecture to try and rationalize the ending.

Kubo has far, far more control over the manga than he would have over the anime, he's literally the guy who writes and draws what gets released for the manga, is he doing either of those things for the anime? No, it's the anime writers and animators that do that, hence why they're listed as such and Kubo isn't.

Kubo just sends in ideas for the anime team and gives them tips on direction, but it's at their discretion whether or not it gets implemented as proven above by Kubo's own statements.

I mean Kubo did say he is Drawing/illustrating? the Unohana vs Kenny fight thats coming up soon, so anything new in it should be considered Canon 🤷‍♂️
