I would go with Kurama due to better powers/plants and his tactical ingenuity.

Very nice match up.

I think Azuma outdoes Kurama in many physical aspects (stronger, faster, more durable) but Kurama likely outdoes Azuma in terms of endurance (can fight for days potentially when healthy and with injuries that Azuma would die from) as well as reflexes. Then of course there is the matter of Kurama's strategic/tactical brilliance whereas Azuma has displayed none. I can see Kurama ending this fight with a well placed seed that he could sprout to shred Azuma from within or with the Sinning Tree. He could also choose to go at him with a Rose Whip and plant a seed while striking him with it. Azuma could win this is if he catches Kurama off guard and blasts him with a Tower Burst or Terra Clamare quickly and then immediately follows up with a Bleve to the head to make sure the deed is done. But I give it to Kurama more often than Azuma.
