Both Manga & Anime say the Thunder Spear is only comparable to a lightning strike, which can be 1 Gigajoule (0.2 tons of tnt)

I can buy the the Armored (And maybe the Colossal) being around tier 8 and the other characters scaling to an extent, but 7-C Titan Shifters and weaponry sounds a bit of a kek.

1.6 gigajoules actually, or 0.3824091778203 tons of TNT.

But to scale to a lightning bolt's full yield physically, there need to be several factors you need to abide by.

You need to be off the ground in mid-air when you take the bolt to your body, and you need to be badly wounded all over your body. Since wounded skin bleeding all over the place lessens the resistance that would impede the bolt's movement through your body, and you can't have any electronic device that would transfer the bolt's energy away.

Also lightning bolts aren't just heat, they can indeed do some serious blunt-force damage IRL, and in fiction we constantly see gigantic lightning bolts always doing more brute-force damage than their actual 1.6 gigajoule yield made from heat.

but here they compare it to the tree test, which damaged the tree. they are comparing it to a lightning strike.

should also mention they make a case a bout its piercing ability as well. Reiner is not good with piercing weaponry, such as arrows from the warhammer titan

Or instead of bleeding out of every pore of your body you could just

The Warhammer Titan is made of stronger Hardening, its the sam with Eren's Hardening, its hard enough to damage his armor

Warhammer upscales from him physically and is abusing surface area, that's kinda moot

Well lets see, we have:

Reiner having two to three casual 8-B durability feats

Eren facetanking an 8-A explosion

Two calcs of Colossus Titans being physcially 7-C without using their transformation explosions with both Thunder Spears and Ultrahard Swords being able to kill Colossus Titans and Reiner's armor being undamaged by Ultrahard Swords

I wouldn't even consider this reliable, they don't have the means to know how strong a lightning bolt is, the comparison is probably more based over the sound effect, and the splintered tree that was used as an example.

I just got here, point me to those 8-B feats (save for the one I mentioned ofc)

Valid, but possible inconsistency since he gets slept by a (should currently be but for some reason isn't) City Block level kick

Im only aware of the earthquake one, what's the other? And ultra hard swords can severely damage them due to being far harder and abusing surface area, essentially exploiting physics to not have to rely purely on joules, and Titan armor says no to those shenanigans because it's higher up on the Mohs scale and doesn't have structural weaknesses like things such as diamonds or swords

It's not reliable both due to that and just how common a comparison it is IRL

That looks like the explosion literally emerges from his body, so I'd say it scales to his Titan Form fully.

That being said, I know nothing about AoT so I'll let the others discuss.
I think it's more of a massively downplayed yield of a matter creation feat

So wait, does this mean, no more 9-A Titans?
High 8-C to 8-B Titans is pretty reasonable, since claims of Eren and Reiner not scaling to getting bodied by Bert on account of them not being able to survive are sketch since they literally get bodied and live

Yeah you can ignore that comment of mine.

I'd like to start a CRT of my own for AoT, to clarify and keep going with the proposed AP revisions. What's the consensus on OP's proposed changes?

The ap thing should have not been discussed here in the first place, as the OP didn't consider adding it on the CRT and only derailed.

Yeah I know what he said but that's one (now presumably two) people's final thoughts on the thread. I'm trying to get the final thoughts of the others as well
