Rules:

• Pre-time skip Linx (with the Dragon Katana) vs Izuru.

• This is Linx post-Incomplete Kurai Form, but he doesn't have access to the form and his potential (So just his 8-A base, however he does have Willpower Defense. Let's say that it's already activated because Izuru somehow got Linx emotional).

• Speed equalized.

• Both have basic information of each-other (Ex: Linx knows Izuru's a dangerous enemy that can potentially one shot him with a good hit, and Izuru knows that Linx has incredibly dangerous abilities).

• In-character.

• Win by doing whatever they would do in-character to win.

• The battle takes place in an inescapable, indesctructable arena (at least, until one of them wins).

• Other than those, Standard Battle Assumptions apply.

• Bonus: How would Linx do in Re:Zero and how would Izuru do in Gyrohem?

Izuru only looks like Deku! he is a completely different person OvO, he usually tends to hold back.

To be fair Linx at this point in the series rushes into battles head first a la Natsu, so I guess that's a fair trade off for Izuru holding back.

To be honest though I think the battle would remain the same, since Linx does have 50% Durability Negation, spammable Aura Energy attacks, Willpower Defense, and probably his strongest advantage: Statistics Amplification.

The layman's terms for why stat amp would be useful here is because it's not regular stat amp. If Linx is fighting someone stronger than him, he can imagine a physical attack around their level and use it, albeit at the cost of major stamina or Aura, and he can't imagine his durability being on Izuru's level.

Assuming Izuru is baseline Town level, lets do a simple calc.

Linx's Willpower Defense: 80%, So we divide Izuru's AP by 5.

(Tons) 5800/5 = 1160. Izuru has effectively Small Town Level AP on Linx

Izuru just one shots Linx's aura, then kills him. And Linx doesn't seem to have a saving grace here.

Hm, what if Linx has the Dragon Katana here? Even though it has 5-A AP, it still has the base katana range, so it's kind of similar to a durability negating katana at this low of a tier.

Also, Aura is more of an invisible suit of armor. If one side is pierced, that doesn't mean everywhere else automatically goes with it. Izuru would have to destroy every single piece with an AOE attack to pierce all of the Aura.

Nevertheless though, Izuru probably stomps without Linx using the Dragon Katana. What would be the results if he does use it?

Note: Both have basic information of each other, so both characters would attempt to avoid getting hit, so hopefully that won't make it a stomp in Linx's favor if the Dragon Katana should be allowed.

With Dragon Katana, Linx hitting Izuru in any bad spot would one shot. Izuru would most likely not be able to dodge all of it.

It seems Izuru has some AOE to hit all of Linx, but would be dodgeable.

Linx dodging all of Izuru's attacks in this case would be unlikely, and Linx would have to move his aura after every hit. So he would get worn down eventually without that katana.
