I could be wrong and this may have been discussed before.

Isn't Asgore's feat of destroying your menu option for mercy a combination of

Power Nullification (he could presumably remove an opponents option to fight him as well, nothing suggests he couldn't)

Breaking the 4th Wall

minor Empathic Manipulation (literally removes the option for Frisk to even consider Mercy an option against him)

Non-physical interraction (Can physically interract with his enemies powers)

Sparing someone is telling them you don't want to fight in-universe, so Frisk still being able to do that after having the spare button broken implies he wasn't actually nulled

This is true but does anything imply he isn't able to destroy your option to fight or to act as well?
