Both are in-character.

Fight takes place in The Land of Departure, same room Terra and Aqua fought initally in BBS.

Starting Distance is 4 meters.

Win is via Incapicitation or Knock-Out.

Aqua is possibly stronger since she fought Terra-Xehanort aka pretty much the "real deal", while Sora only fought his Heartless and his Nobody which may be comparable but that might be up to debate.

Sora alongside Riku both fought against Twilight Xemnas who is the stongest in their verse, and he also fought Xemnas in a 1v1 and won. If this is Composite sora then he probably could win using his drive forms alone, especially his Final Form.

uhh no Twilight Xemna was stated to be the strongest in the verse "at that time" and that...was before BBS was a thing in terms of the games he was the strongest, and Im not even going to assume they were thinknig of characters from a as of yet not even announced game.

Pretty sure Aqua has this in the bag. She is easily the better magic user, a master tier keyblade user on par Xehanort using Terra's body, Keyblade armor helps, she even fought Ventus-Vanitas with the X-Blade, more well trained and possesses immense willpower and reserves which help her survive in the Realm of Darkness for so long.

If this was Riku, perhaps it'd be different, as he fought Young Xehanort w/ Xehanort's influence. Sora's best feat is taking on Armoured Terra , who is supposed to be stronger than Terrranort . However, it should be noted that Aqua has a lot more experience, and is s better magic her . There comparable in power at least, with Sora being a little stringer , but Aqua has this via the above reasons.

Yea basically atm the powerscale is ironically the masters(Mickey, Riku and Aqua) > the non masters(Sora, Ventus, Terra, Roxas and etc).

Feat-wise, Sora is comparable if not superior to Aqua in all honesty.

Aqua was being pushed back and only defeated Vanitas after Ventus shattered his own heart to destroy the X-blade even though she had Mickey's help.

Sora and Riku outright defeated Twilight Xemnas who had access to his Kingdom Hearts.

Sora also defeated Roxas, who overwhelmed Riku until the latter decided to go full Ansem and took Roxas by surprise.
