Animation Hot Takes

I think episodic shows went from overhated to overrated but like you said, agree to disagree.
Really? I thought episodic shows got hella hate. The cartoon community eats up these serialized shows (The Owl House and Amphibia) but tend to dismiss episodic shows (Big City Greens and The Ghost and Molly McGee).

I'm trying to find a way to say old cartoons are overrated nostalgia based cartoons and current cartoons are overhated without getting slaughtered.

But you gotta admit, they really don't make cartoons like they used to back then

Nah most people you come by will just say Regular Show and Gumball solos but of the ones who do have an opinion they prefer episodic. Like a 7 episodic show can edge out a 7.5 serialized one just for the fact that it's episodic.

I think Late 2000's - Mid 2010's was peak cartoons but most people are gonna go on about how Darkwing Duck and Rugrats were the best show since sliced bread. Cartoons back then addressed topics relative to that period of time. This is why newer shows focus more on inclusion than morality.

Gumball isn't even a serialized show. It's more so 70% episodic 30% serialized. There are some serialized elements to it, but most episodes are self-contained.

I do agree that most people you'll come by will say that Serialized >>>>>>> Episodic. I don't know if people with "an actual opinion" considers episodic better, but I'll take your word for it.

Straight cap. Specifically the Late 2000's. Everyone knows that 2009 CN was one of the darkest time periods for that company. There were only a few redeeming qualities about that time period. I somewhat agree with Mid 2010's though.

But then again, usually people would prefer episodic cartoons than just plain cartoons that are just pure toon force with no actual plot around it

I never said it was. I was making a joke saying most people would just change the topic to how Gumball and other shows were better. Well people with an actual opinion is actually just people who don't just say older cartoons are better honestly.

Who's gonna tell him bangers like Total Drama: Island and Regular Show were late 2000's shows?

For one, the Boondocks is one of adult comedy sitcoms but has no toon force at all. Which most other does

I genuinely think that older cartoons are better for the most part, but there are modern cartoons that are great, so I can see your point.

Regular Show was made in 2010 goofy. Total Drama is valid, though.

Matter of fact...

2009 CN wasn't that bad. And I'll explain why soon.

TPOT (Admittedly based on a small sample size) > Inanimate Insanity II > BFB Pre-Split >>> BFB Post-Split

Well we can't just ignore 2 whole seasons. And I watched the reboot but dropped it after 2 episodes. I was not ******* with the way they changed the opening.
The intro is ass, but if you can ignore that, it's actually a good show, and it does improve on the last 2 seasons of the original show.

I'll change my opinion to this:

Seasons 1-4 of Johnny Test is peak fiction.

I’ve loved everything about BFDI since it’s inception but I just... stopped watching BFB after the first few post-split episodes. It just lost all its complexity

What happened to the old artstyle/animation of BFDI and BFDIA? They looked so much better then

Anyways here are some of the shows that were on CN in 2009:

Johnny Test
Chowder
Flapjack
Total Drama
Ben 10

That's just naming a few. Now here's what current CN has now:

Teen Titans GO!
DC Superhero Girls
We Baby Bears
Craig of the Creek

...Yeah. People need to stop hating on 2009 CN.

Can't tell if you are trolling or not.
Who knows at the end of the day?

Was 5-6 those stupid race episodes?
Yes. The shit was ass.

Ong, no cap, or fr fr?
Ong, no cap, and fr fr.

Wait that show actually exists? Wtf?
Sadly yes. The show isn't that bad, though.

I also forgot to add that shows like Pokemon DP were airing on CN around 2009, so even more reasons as to why 2009 CN is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.
