So yeah, we have the Magician: a creature designed to renew nature by destroying humanity and is created as part of Dr. Curien's research into life and death. This guy upscales from 99.85 kJ from Thomas Rogan, and his armor is bulletproof save for the exposed parts. The Magician seems to be favored by those who assisted in Dr. Curien's research, hence his appearance in three mainline games.

On the other hand, we have the Ancient Sirehound. This creature is a dog that had lived long enough to see evolution take place and has an AP range from 41.05 to 136.44 kilojoules (his ground pound multiplies this range by 4). Of course the attacks from Pikmin involve leaves that are generally narrower than bullets, so uhh... Anyway, development of a cure for dog pikminification was developed from the stem cells of this creature.

Both the Ancient Sirehound and the Magician have fireballs as attacks, with the Sirehound's attack being one phase of it and the Magician's attack being his MO. Sirehound generally has no problem resisting fire, of course. The Magician has higher range than the Sirehound, but one of his phases has him resort to getting physical, which I think would not work well for the Magician at all. The Magician doesn't have to worry about the pools of Gloom the Ancient Sirehound would use since the Magician can float. Of course the Ancient Sirehound can fly, so the Magician would still have to worry about the Gloom Burst. In any case...

Speed is equalized. Also, this is the Sirehound vs House of the Dead 1 Magician.
