What is luffy's respond to durability negation (molecullar level)
Just not getting hit. Luffy has good senses to know and predict if a attack is potent enough to sever limbs so he'll be wary.

What is Rex's response to Gear 2nd's speed, which is a blitz level amp?

idk bro seems like stomp to me rex doesn't have much abilities on this key he might protect himself with forcefield or smth but he can't use his wincon

Rex should have reactive evolution in his Pre-Omega 1 Key.

His Post-Omega 1 Key has superior reactive evolution to more insane abilities since the Omega-1 Nanite is a control Nanite.

But his Pre-Omega 1 self still has the adaptability the normal Nanites provide him. Which, Luffy's powers are nothing out of the ordinary for normal EVO's.

So his Gear 2 wouldn't be a hard counter. While Rex still has the win con of his Sword.

btw i just remembered you cant blitz the character who has higher speed in speed equalized match ups otherwise this wont be count. Rex has MFTL+ speed
Edit: i've just realized pre omega key has massively hypersonic+ well i guess outdated profile lol

Luffy's best techs are too vulnerable to the combination of Rex's adaptability and dura neg tbh. Doesn't really have a big win con on his end either.

Luffy is able to blitz people faster than his base who have precog, seeing into the future. Rex has no chance on hitting Luffy. He gets blitzed into the dirt. Nobody has given a single answer to this so I have no reason why people are voting Rex.

When did Pre timeskip Luffy do this again?

Because I hope you're not implying Observation Haki pre-Katakuri is enough for a speed blitz.

Luffy gets adapted to and slashes by the BFS.

And if we wanna downplay then Rex gets the insane strength and durability amp provided by his mutated EVO form if Luffy is somehow able to blitz him.

Luffy alone has reactive evolution. You have to prove that they can adapt to Luffy's relentless speed before Luffy puts Rex down with his superior AP as well. Luffy can one-shot people who are not much weaker than Rex.

There's a big difference between combat oriented reactive evolution and straight up just countering powers as a whole in the middle of a fight.

What's Luffy's AP?

And this fight doesn't specify any prior knowledge on both parties either.

Rex's Nanite's in character always just /do/ these things while Rex himself is more likely to just get into a brawl with him.

And you have to show feats of it evolving to a speed and AP gap of that kind.
What's Luffy's AP?
37.5 Gigatons and 74.9 Gigatons, Can oneshot people who scale to 18.7 Gigatons and 37.5 Gigatons.

...Thought so.

So that's where the confusion was.

Well I hate to break this to you but like I said earlier about the Pre-Omega 1 Key. Its out of date. Including the adaptation stuff.

Rex is 6-B. The Nanite explosion event calc was corrected already.

https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Reiner04/Nanite_event_explosion_calc <-- Incorrect formula.

https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Aachintya31/Rex_Salazar_Survives_The_Nanite_Event <--- Corrected formula.

Luffy can't exactly close this type of gap.

Cool Luffy is 6-B too

The post specifies Marineford Luffy and Pre-Omega 1 Rex. You just sent a link to Emperor Luffy's page.

The post also links Rex' profile, which has him at 6-C. So either make a CRT or argue what's on the page.

...Yeah no. That's not how this works.

Someone forgetting to update Rex's page isn't my problem specifically. You also posted emperor Luffy like his equivalent isn't a 4-B Omega Rex lol?

No wonder there was confusion.

I was under the impression you were arguing that Luffy can amp himself to 6-B the entire time ngl

It is your problem if you're going to argue as if he's 6-B, when on his profile he isn't. If you're going to argue despite the lack of somebody updating the profiles and doing research, then we might as well argue both of them in their 6-B states. If you're unwilling to do that then idk what to tell you.

I mean if that's your argument then this battle is kinda pointless in the first place? The character isn't 6C to begin with. "Argue what's outdated on the page" tells me nothing either.

I mean I already told you what my suggestion is - to update Rex' profile so we can notify the OP to switch to Luffy's 6-B key so this can be an actual match. You said doing that isn't your problem so if you're really unwilling to do that then this should just be closed.

Assuming we're just looking at their profiles as they are now, I have to vote Luffy

Although Gear 2 is weaker than rex is normally, Luffy can easily set up his strongest attacks (which are all stronger than rex) with his speed advantage. The BFS, although dangerous, isn't relevant cuz of the speed difference, so Luffy can just hit him until he dies

I'm not nearly as in tune with Generator Rex stuff tho, so if anyone wants to correct me, feel free, but right now Gear 2's speed buff is too much of an advantage

i actually hate rex having massively hypersonic speed it's not valid tho its suppost to be mftl+ same as his post omega nanite, omega nanite buffed his abilities not his physcial stats, we have seen in Alpha vs Rex, Rex hold his own against Alpha without his omega nanite and he was fine after taking hits by Alpha without Omega nanite but in the current standarts Luffy wins i guess, not sure so i'm removing my vote

Yeah this is exactly what I'm talking about.

His Pre-Omega 1 key is out of date. The speed and reactive evolution can at the very least be fixed quickly though.

But yes, like you said, Pre-Omega 1 Rex was holding his own very well against the Alpha as we saw before our eyes.
