I'm going with inconclusive until someone gives a heads-up on how the lady have a chance in this.

(As for how the hell Xeelee Sequence and The Manifold series are hard sci-fi... well, Stephen Baxter IS a graduate in mathematics and enginnering. He uses completely real-life terms and specifications and runs wild with it by showing the actual potential a real-life civilization would have once it advanced enough.)

Also Also: Speculative Psychics! Since everything about them is stilll... well, speculative, it's kinda difficult to refute "Hey, that's impossible in real-life!" when current-day knowledge about them is vague)
