All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

there was a cool theory about DBS cosmology and why the characters are capable of destroying the universe ..

Basically the universe kept getting smaller and smaller until it became like a pocket solar system. This gives us the illusion that they are getting stronger, when in reality ... the universe got smaller and smaller.

It would explain why z fat buu had no problems flying through a train, while DBS Goku was almost killed by one

abracadabra?

Can you review the evidence? The tear created by Goku Black is something beyond the comprehension of any human or god. It is above anything else, which makes it something higher than the hypertimeline or anything we have known in Dragon Ball, and known by gods and mortals alike. Even the Kaioshin, who specialize in this field of hypertimelines, could not understand it. Goku Black looked into the tear he created, and when he looked, he said: “the distant future?”—and this proves my point. This tear caused by Goku Black cut through infinity, or an uncountable number of hypertimelines, and beyond that, it affected the space that connects the hypertimelines and tore it apart. This space is seven-dimensional and connects the hypertimelines, and Goku Black affected this space and cut through an uncountable number of hypertimelines within it, to the point that he saw the distant future.

I hate pulling this card, but "beyond my comprehension" statements are pretty flowery. It simply means he reached a higher level of power that surprised even him. I mean he literally made a weird rift in spacetime that messes up others energy and creates clones. He doesn't know where it came from. But prior, he was talking about how his anger as a God and a Saiyan body to boost it will increase his might all the more since that's how their biology works. It doesn't mean whatever this was is above hypertimeline without more evidence. That's pretty much headcanon. You're gonna need something much stronger.

He's sort of just guessing where that tear could of led. But we don't have any true way of knowing. Let's say it WAS another hypertimeline; so what? It's just an enhanced spacetime manipulation feat and added range. It doesn't mean GB actually scales. Range doesn't always mean AP. Does Gotenks scale to like universal just because he made a tear between the living world and the Room of spirit and time? Well, no. It doesn't. it's simply an unquantifiable feat because he isn't significantly effecting all of reality, nor does he actually scale above the entire thing either.

An interesting detail about the Time Machine is that travel is not performed from time “x” to time “y”, but rather from dimension “x” to dimension “y.” As Bulma explained, if you shift by even the smallest possible difference in time, the connection to world “y” is lost, and you will fall into a completely different world. It has nothing to do with his power level in that statement. He is saying that the rift he caused is beyond his understanding—beyond the understanding of all gods and mortals. When he looked into it, he said: “Is what I’m seeing a different universe? Or a distant future?”

In short, his words here are not about his own strength. Goku Black is genuinely astonished by this phenomenon and explicitly states that it surpasses the understanding of both gods and mortals—even himself, a Kaioshin and a specialist in such matters. The Kaioshin are the most knowledgeable beings in the entire universe, especially regarding hypertimelines and related phenomena. What he witnessed surpasses everything we know in the series, including hypertimelines, and this is something that cannot be denied.

There exists a space that separates all hypertimelines, and the time machine passes through this space in order to reach a specific hypertimeline. The rift caused by Goku Black cut through this separating space, which contains and separates the hypertimelines, leading to the vision of the distant future. He cut through an uncountable number of future timelines until he reached the far future, which means that the cut extended across a seven-dimensional space and severed, among other things, countless hypertimelines, reaching the furthest possible future timeline.

Take a simple 2D plane; it is infinite for the postulate of that situation. If you place an arbitrary point A on it and an arbitrary point B on it, they are both FINITELY distant from each other...

what??? your argument has nothing to do with what im saying
they were able to calculate the distance between Earth and Namek in seconds using a calculator and Namek is located near the centre of the db universe with Earth being located near the edge of the universe. The distance is about half the diameter of the db universe which proves the universe can be measured and calculated

So the universe is devided into 4 parts which is consistant in Daizenshu

The series explicitly states the existence of an infinite number of galaxies, that darkness and light are infinite, and that the universe itself is infinite. Are you really ignoring this?

Don’t you know that there are infinities greater than other infinities? Simply put, the macrocosm in Dragon Ball is infinite in size and is ten times greater than ordinary infinity, while the Kaioshin Realm would be merely infinite.

You should know that yes, there are infinities greater than other infinities—this is a real concept, and that’s all there is to it.

As for the center and related matters, that has already been explained. Bulma was referring to the observable universe, not the entire infinite universe. She specified the distance between Planet Namek, Earth, and the center, and all of that refers only to the observable universe. This has been explained in many discussions, because Jaco’s statements, the series’ own explanations, and everything else are clear. Bulma’s comments about the “center” are meant to refer to the observable universe.

The universe is divided into four quadrants: East, West, South, and North.
In practice, four Kaiō are assigned to oversee the galaxies of each of these directions.

Beyond that, above the four directional Kaiō, there exist the gods of the heavens and the Kaiōshin.

In order to collectively manage and supervise the universe,
galaxies that exist infinitely throughout space

In short, these matters were explained by the Dragon Ball work itself, and it explicitly states that there are indeed infinite galaxies.

It was also mentioned again in the anime that there are galaxies without bounds:

“Goku, Trunks, and Pan — is the spaceship heading off to boundless galaxies.”
