Something I've noticed is that they use power, power level, and strength in Dragon Ball as interchangeable terms. Like this and this

Edit: also just as a heads up, Chariot does not write this shit out long maliciously. He really just likes to cover every little possible thing, it’s the same reason he’ll include 50 decimal places in his calculations; he’s thorough, perhaps to a fault sometimes.

It's not a healthy practice, unfortunately. It makes reading his points exhausting, and often repeating.
 
He just likes to pollute a CRT with 100 thousand endless words, he should make those things smaller. Huge texts only make the CRT as dragged out as possible, making it harder for people to read everything and taking even longer for the other supporters to cover it all.

I think his arguments would work better if they were condensed, unironically. It's not like he makes bad points, it's just explained in such a elongated manner that it makes it harder to track, which is not a good way to debate imo.

With all due respect I tend to have a similar problem since I like to cover things and ensure I’m understood. It’s also due to a former hobby of mine, English literature. But to be honest it’s not a good habit to have. It’s good to have transparency in speech but it’s unnecessary to repeat the same thing in different fonts. Even teachers teach you this. I feel as though it would only be okay in the assumption that specified person is unable to understand you, me or another person. Clarification is important if you’re asked to.

It also doesn’t help when the average users see a massive post like his, the chances are that they won’t even read it. Let’s be honest, attention span has regressed and we partially have social media to blame for that so when they encounter that type of post their immediate thought isn’t to read it. They see it, like it and would probably mention how much they cooked. Their measurement comes from word count not actual annotation.

Also I don’t mean to be overly wary but are you sure this isn’t intentional?

Don’t get me wrong it’s fine to be confident. But I don’t think this is something you say here. It seems more like a gotcha, my word count is exponentially bigger and I don’t expect you to comeback from this. Even if vote difference is large I think it’s only logical to go with a neutral route since anything can happen. So instead of “get calcing boys” I think “assuming this is accepted, you would have to get calcing boys.”

He seems more offended here which is fair but the “500k byte” part confirms he’s aware of what he’s doing. It’s not like it’s something he does involuntarily plus people have called it out multiple times. Being in his position in the past it’s just redundant. Being simple eases a whole lot. Saying “got it” really changes the tone too it does seem as if he’s using his lengthy posts as a weapon but this is just me analysing so take it with a grain of salt.

It’s unintentional in the sense that he doesn’t write the messages long simply because it makes it harder to respond. He does it because he feels like it is the best way to respond to everything.

I mean, he has a right to be confident, the thread is basically passed regardless. Besides, this is more of a thing saying “Since this is getting passed, it would be best for you to all start finding actual feats to calculate instead of relying on the same rela feat from the beginning of the manga.” Hell, he himself has feats he’s planning on dropping to help yall.

Yeah, when people piss him off he gets the incentive to fully write out shit, that’s pretty much all this is confirming. Like, he feels bad and annoyed having to write this initially but then yall poke the ******* bear and he doesn’t feel bad anymore so he gets it done without mercy. It’s less of a “Yeah now I’m gonna purposefully write this long now” and more of a “Yeah now I’m not ******* around anymore, prepare for the args”.

Honest to God this just shows how hypocritical yall are, like he’s saved your asses 3 times now using his signature style of dissecting every little thing the exact same way he’s doing it now and yall like bot him. But the SECOND he even tries to dispel something he perceives as inaccurate all of a sudden he’s weaponizing the length and it’s all yap. Where was that energy before???

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but what about the fact that Cell's Kamehameha "reached space" within the IT? I remember that being brought up to demonstrate that the IT has a short "duration."
And we now that the IT can travel through the universe in mere instants.

Fair enough. His “best way” is subjective so I can respect that ground. But from an argumentative and literature stance I would have to say it’s objectively unneeded for reasons I mentioned already. I’m an overthinker and do like to repeat myself in different forms and sizes but as mentioned prior I think that’s fine to do if you’re asking to. Not when it’s not a must. It becomes a habit and becomes difficult to break out of. I also like to think that as someone who wants to gun definition and understanding down into someone, he should also think well ahead that his paragraphs could become tricky as time passes. Tricky as in the people reading these posts lose comprehensive accuracy as time goes on as it’s tiring mentally and physically.

I’m all for being confident but the tone didn’t sit right with me personally. I do agree that we do need more feats calculated though.

Would it still count as poking the bear if it’s something that’s happening unprovoked? Poking the bear here is used in trying to say X had been instigating to invoke a reaction from Y. Poking the bear doesn’t work here entirely if it’s someone’s schtick. You can correct me if I’m wrong but did say it’s something he likes to do. It’s a habit, therefore a gimmick. Back onto being pissed off, while this could be anecdotal I’m not sure but you make it seem as though the reaction is justified. You would be wrong to enforce that let alone think that. I have been in threads where this is contradicted, not everyone is trying to force a reaction out of Chariot. Part of this seems to be an emotional management issue.

For whatever reason this way of thinking seems to be really common. I don’t get what it is with people doing an act favourable to others and needing to be perceived as a hero. This isn’t saving. In the nicest way possible you’re taking this a bit too seriously, he did well helping supporters multiple times and that’s the end of it. I’m familiar with this style of debate and it’s no different from Roblox rap battles or the concept of cussing. I was never switching sides I remained the same.

Also doesn’t part of Chariot’s anger come from the Grand Priest vs Batman thread? People stood on their beliefs, the Dragon Ball Supporters. AFAIK they had an issue with abilities not being indexed on Batman’s profile and I’m pretty sure that’s how this stemmed.

IIRC supporters were just following the rules and there seems to be some pettiness here and in the thread that you can find in your spare time. This rhetoric seems off to me. It’s normal to expect help from people you have helped in the past but thinking you’re a hero or some saviour is serious main character energy. I think you were being hyperbolic and if you weren’t it’s far from that. Helping people is something you should do without expecting anything in return. If you help someone with the intent or motive of receiving help back then that’s a little odd. Especially if it’s in a topic in which both parties have subjective views. I could understand if there was some obvious traces of good relationship but I don’t see that here.

Do better where exactly? I was never moved before or now my mind has been unchanged since the beginning.

Hmm, well I guess while the Point A to Point B nature of IT is instant, the actual disappearing and reappearing has some amount of time-lag to it, especially since we don't usually see the characters completely vanish from 1 frame to the next, there's always that IT effect over them as they disappear.

Ig? It's also legit a plot point that Whis' staff would've taken too long to reach Earth (30 something minutes) so instead Goku had to use IT to appear there instantly.
It also wouldn't make much sense if Buu Saga and above characters were so much faster than the appearance of IT and yet still get caught off-guard by it. Like it would be equivalent to Goku disappearing and Black having 7 hours to react to him appear again, but somehow he always fails to do so???

You don't take the distance. The instant transmission will always take the same amount of time to travel (instantly) any given distance.

What you need to figure out is how long it takes for Goku to dematerialize and rematerialize.
