Hey all, I've written up a rough draft for a new power. Check it out and please let me know what you think!

Adhesive Generation

Summary

Adhesive Generation is the ability to create any substance, whether biologically or artificially, which renders people or objects stuck or otherwise bound to each other. Such substances may include glue, cement, tape, or webbing.

Wikipedia defines adhesive in the following manner:

"Any non metallic substance applied to one surface, or both surfaces, of two separate items that binds them together and resists their separation."

Adhesivity is the ability to adhere oneself to walls and other surfaces without falling off from the pull of gravity.

Users of this ability often create strong attractive forces between parts of themselves and highly steep surfaces such that their entire body weight is supported for an extended period of time. Some users of this ability however employ other techniques than the one mentioned above (for example using a special form of spiked footwear) but ultimately achieve the same effect for a comparable period of time.

Possible Uses

  • Restricting an opponent's movements
  • Fusing objects and/or people together
  • Wallcrawling
  • Moving/lifting heavy objects
Common Limitatio

  • The adhesive effect may wear off after some time

Looks good. Someone may be able to come up with a better sounding title than "adhesive manip", but it isn't me.

Rename it to Adhesive Generation, merge it with the Adhesivity page, and I'd be fine with this.
This has already been suggested and rejected. And of course, I still disagree with merging them.

The Adhesivity page was meant to be renamed to "Surface Scaling" a month ago, it's just that no-one rewrote the page. Here's the thread where the name change, and adding adhesive generation to it, was discussed.

No need to lump two different powers together that have vastly different principles and applications just because they are both related to the general concept of adhesivity.

@Agnaa

I see. Adhesivity is a subpower of Adhesive Generation, and I was under the impression that we hadn't included alternative forms of wallcrawling like spiked boots, suction, et cetera.

If the changes you mentioned weren't a thing then merging them would be necessary, however it seems the page should be renamed.
