I noticed our Intangibility page got updated so I thought I'd go ahead and update the Ghost Physiology (Danny Phantom) page with the proper types of intangiblity especially since they have several that aren't mentioned on the physiology page. Below is the current description that has the current intangibility compressed together, I aim to fix that.

"Intangibility: Contrary to popular belief, ghosts in Danny Phantom are naturally intangible. On multiple occasions, ghosts have been shown phasing through solid objects without the use of their power to turn themselves intangible. This is supported by the fact that humans passively phase through objects while in the Ghost Zone without knowing they were able to. This is due to everything being made of ectoplasm, and thus ghosts naturally phase through everything in the real world unless they decide to become physically. While physical, ghosts have the power turn their body intangible as well as spread this effect to other objects with the use of their energy. Lastly, ghosts can become a non-solid and allow things to harmlessly go through them, this being a form of element intangibility."

You can see it talks about multiple intangibility types compressed but since our Intangiblity page wasn't updated at the time it's not properly updated plus is missing some information.

Physical Intangibility

First, here is the description for physical intangibility from our page...

* Physical Intangibility is a state of true intangibility, as the user is rendered fully untouchable and non-physical. Users of this category of Intangibility are intangible on a physical level, meaning they are assumed to exist within the physical world to some degree. Non-Physical Interaction is usually required to be able to interact with or harm characters with these forms of intangibility.

Danny Phantom characters (ghosts) are already listed under the "Non-Physical" type of this intangiblity, which states.

* Non-Physical: The user has a non-physical form, a "body" that by nature lacks physical material or substance. This type of intangibility allows the user to pass through solid matter and attacks due to not being made up of a physical substance, such as ghosts or characters who merely exist as a disembodied soul. It also includes characters that are made up of things like energy.

I'll just go over the two intangiblity they have of this type since this will be an overall rewrite.

1). The first intangiblity is passive and is the first mentioned in the current description. In the episode "Prisoners of Love", this intangiblity is shown when Sam and Tucker are being chased through the Ghost Zone by Dorathea, and without knowing it would happen, they phase through Walker's prison while Dorathea smashed against the wall, and then they explained to Danny that in the Ghost Zone, they're the ghosts and Walker could not touch Danny in his human form. This is shown in reverse in the episode "Reign Storm" when countless ghosts flew out of the Ghost Zone and into the human world and phased through ground and up to the surface. They can also spread this intangibility through their energy, as shown when Danny turned the floor intangible with his ectoplasmic energy causing Tucker to fall through the floor.

The above shows that at its base level, ectoplasm and thus ghosts cannot interact with real world objects and vice versa. This gives ghosts a passive intangiblity, however they can't touch anything from the real world as a drawback. The new description for the passive intangiblity would look like this would look like this below and will take the spot of the current intangiblity description on the physiology page.

Physical Intangibility: Non-Physical - Ghosts possess a passive intangiblity, they cannot be interacted with by real world objects or people, allowing them to phase through physical objects naturally, however they themselves cannot touch real world objects or people unless they themselves decide to become physical, with humans being shown and described as "the ghosts" when they enter the Ghost Zone due to the fact that they naturally pass through everything in the Ghost Zone because of nature state of ectoplasm. It can be spread to other objects by a ghost using their energy.

2). The second intangiblity is only used when ghosts are manifested avatars and physical. This is the main intangiblity they used, shown visually as them appearing translucent. It isn't passive like the first intangiblity but they can still interact with real world objects while remaining untouchable, allowing them to pass the intangiblity on to others like the previous intangibility but requires direct contact instead of through their energy, as shown when Danny while using this intangiblity turned Sam intangible through contact.

As shown above this is a different intangibility from the first. The new description for this intangiblity would look like this would look like this below and will be placed under the Avatar Creation spot with all the other abilities that ghosts use while using their avatars and physical.

Physical Intangibility: Non-Physical; Ghosts can turn their physical bodies intangible, allowing them to phase through solid objects and attacks, while still being able to interact with the physical world themselves. This allows them to spread this intangiblity to other objects and people through physical contact.

Elemental Intangibility

Now we can move on to the multiple types of elemental intangibility a ghost has at their disposal, first here is the description to Elemental Intangibility...

* Elemental Intangibility is the ability to transform into various elements, substances, and/or states of matter to achieve a form of pseudo-intangibility. Rather than being truly intangible, Elemental Intangibility involves the user possessing the ability to transform their body into a specific element in order to avoid physical damage as attacks merely disperse the user's body or pass harmlessly through it without truly damaging them. Unlike true intangibility, Elemental Intangibility does not grant the ability to pass unimpeded through solid matter, though depending on the element the user can turn into they still may be able to move through certain materials. Otherwise, they are assumed to physically exist within the physical world and can be damaged as such, and depending on the element, Non-Physical Interaction may not be needed in order to physically interact with or damage them.

I will go over each type of elemental intangiblity ghosts have now.

1). A ghost's physical avatar is made of ectoplasm, which is a substance that can be interacted with physically but the ghost feels no pain. As shown when Sam throws a book at Danny and it goes through his midsection and clearly splits it before it naturally restored itself. This is shown again when Shadow throws a antenna at Danny's midsection and splits it in half, then it merges back together. Both times Danny feels no pain but his form is clearly damaged. This elemental intangibility fits our Type 2 (semi-solid/semi-liquid) as it's a shown as a goo like substance that can be interacted with by real world objects, however it does require Non-Physical Interaction to case them pain since Danny was clearly unharmed by the two showings above but when Valerie hit him with her anti-ghost buzzsaw he was shocked that it hurt, and in the episode "Fright Night", Danny states after being cut and harmed in Pariah's Keep that rule number 1 is that in the Ghost Zone, ghosts can be hurt, showing that it does require Non-Physical Interaction to cause them harm in this state but you can still interact with them.

2). Ghosts can turn their bodies into smoke, as shown in the episode "Reign Storm", the ghosts turned into smoke so they could all fit in the Specter Speeder, then restored themselves when they were released, and in a different episode, Dark Danny turned his body into smoke to avoid Valerie's grenades. This fits the Type 4 (Aerosols), as they clearly can become mist/smoke to fit in places they can't or avoid attacks.

3). Most ghosts utilize fire for just their hair or capes (Ember McLain and Fright Knight to name a few), it's from their own energy as shown when Nocturne covered himself in his own energy and changed it into flames. However, Skulker shows us that they can become fire then reform to their original state. This fits the Type 6 (Plasma).

4). Ghosts bodies are manifestations of their ectoplasmic energy, and we see them creating their forms form said energy multiple times. Danny even shows us this by turning into energy to escape Dorathea and reform immediately after. This fits Type 8 (Energy)

With what's shown above, a new intangibility (Elemental Intangibility) will be added under the other mentioned intangibility under the avatar creation part since all of these are done with their manifested body. The description will be...

Elemental Intangibility: Type 2 - Ghosts bodies are made up of physical ectoplasm, a goo like substance that allows attacks to harmlessly pass through them before they quickly reform. Type 4 - Ghosts can become a mist/smoke like substance to let attacks pass through them. Type 6 - Ghosts can become fire. Type 8 - Ghosts bodies can be turned back into raw ectoplasmic energy, allowing them to escape an opponents grasp)

Individual Intangibility

The following intangibility listed below are for specific ghosts either due to their own nature or it is not being supported by other ghosts doing it.

Undergrowth: While he is a ghost, he's basically a plant ghost and his physical form is clearly made out of plants, as shown with his various regeneration feats. This fits Elemental Intangibility Type 1 (Solids), plants are mentioned in the description.

Vortex (Danny Phantom): He's a weather ghost and can become clouds which are compromised of mostly water so it fits Elemental Intangibility Type 3 (Liquids), he can also become tornadoes, and air would fall under a gas type so Type 5 (Gas) as well.

Note: As ComicCalc pointed out in the first comment, clouds are made up of microscopic water droplets/ice particles so it's actually more close to Type 4 (Aerosol) than Type 3 (Liquids). So it would be Type 4.

Johnny 13 (Shadow): Johnny 13's shadow is his actual shadow, this would give it Elemental Intangibility Type 9 (Non-Physical), shadow/darkness is in the description.

That is all, if a scan doesn't work, let me know. W to those who updated our intangibility page by the way.

Wouldn't Vortex becoming clouds be closer to Type 4 (Aerosol) rather than Type 3 (Liquid)? Clouds are made of microscopic water droplets/ice particles suspended in air, which seems to fit the Type 4 description of mist/fog more closely.

Agree with rest.

That's actually correct, so I'll update that part with a note.
